Yeah, that $2300 quote is a "go away" price. They did not even bother to look it up in service data and give a realistic quote which would be 2 hours or less plus fluid and filter cost.2020 sport s with oversized tires. 57k miles. Zero issues with the trans. I did ask last oil change about a trans drain. Dealer didn't want to even quote it but came back at $2300. Seems dealers think this is a no service trans. I suspect a drain and fill would help but i.would guess that would void the warranty. So I would recommend give them the truck. Get a loaner and see what they say
If that dealership ever changed a transmission outright before, they did the refill procedure
Also, doing a drain and fill if following the service procedure and using the correct ZF licensed spec fluid would not be a void warranty situation either.
I really hate dealerships like you described. Afraid to make money unless it is on their recommendation which usually is some BS most of the time.
