Defiantly some talented ones out there! Mine is far from that. Very rough and slapped together. I liked this metal one because is folded in half. But I dont like that it will gouge the curved area. I guess I could cut mine in half and add a hinge with a latch of some sort.
Is it the same height as the wheel wells? If so, this could be used in conjunction when the tailgate is at a 45 degree to help support sheets of plywood, lumber, sheetrock and other similar things.
A "normal" hood latch release would take away from the Jeep experience. Jeeps have always had exterior hood latches. But, Ive been daily driving Jeeps for 15 years and I have never had a thought or need for a hood lock. Its just not needed.
Just to confirm. I got the trim pieces in yesterday. They fit perfect. Almost like Jeep was planning this from the beginning. A 5/16 drill bit is the perfect size. Will anyone notice them? Probably not. Did they add an extra 50HP? I like to think so. Am I happy with them? Yes.
You should. I removed mine at 2k miles. I dont have to use the stupid adapter funnel and I can use the bigger high flow pumps at truck stops. Best mod yet. 10 out of 10 do recommend lol.
Its a 19gal tank. Right at 30 miles of range left, or 1/8th os a tank. I fill up 16-ish gallons. The most of squeezed in was just a smidge over 18 gal.
See, this was my first diesel. I ordered for two reasons. One. A diesel Jeep truck just sounded awesome (which it is). and Two. Because of my long commute. I wanted the better fuel mileage. As far as issues. The Gen3 seems to be pretty solid. I know the first and second gens had issues. The def...
I 100% would be contacting Baja Designs. But, keep in mind. When customers report problems, that also allows to keep track of reoccurring problems and allows them to make changes to fix those problems.
I used to work for a Line-X shop. So, I have a little experience lol. Its just a plastic. And like most plastics, they can be effected by UV. 303 Aerospace has UV blocker/SPF in it. I use it on plastic, things that are bed lined, soft tops (vinyl soft tops, not twill.) Even the factory steel...
I am well aware unfortunately. I grew up in and around early '60s CJ5's. I bought my first Jeep at 20. A 2000 TJ and still have it today. But the ducking duck thing is an embarrassing fad that has cursed the Jeep world.
Cavfab Predator bumper has my attention right now.

So with the Tomahawk, you have to cut the frame and then weld on the bumper. Its not a simple bolt on.
But for me, when I've been looking at stubbies. I had three requirements. To have a true recessed/hidden winch mount and built in fog light pockets and most importantly, American made.
