I'm not saying this sarcastically: combine trips. Make extra effort to plan ahead and not run out to do a separate errand with a separate trip. I haven't measured this, and I don't necessarily practice it, but I'd bet it saves more gas more faster than any other method.
Looks like that's intentional - Lee refers to item 52615-35 in pic 1, and 52614-35 pic 2 - different product. The second is an alternative which doesn't require the soft top surrounds.
Heavy duty trucks and big rigs (i.e. serious towing) have happily been using manual trannies forever. Automatics can be more efficient - by how much? Who knows. It comes at the expense of complexity and cost. Everything's a tradeoff.
At just past 10K miles now I keep waiting for this and have yet do have it happen. I'm not denying that it happens but make me wonder more about what causes it. The fitment of the nozzle into the filler tube, to me, still seems less good than it has on any other vehicle, but I still haven't run...
Assuming by TJ you mean JT. Better antenna (or placement of antenna) likely. But I can't get used to the look. Shark fin looks like a mohawk or wart, the antenna equivalent of a speed bump. Too conspicuous and it interrupts the clean roof line. There must be a better way to mount a functional...
In terms of traffic, backing into garage is generally easier and safer than backing out onto a street (assuming said street has traffic). If you're approaching your driveway, you have good visibility in the rear view, and can pull over and wait for decreased traffic if necessary, before backing...
Stop living in fear. Lemons are rare. Spend every day eager and anticipating the delivery of your JT. It's so much more enjoyable. Congrats on your new rig and looking forward to pics.
I'm thinking an antenna swap would help. Something more high gain. Could be pretty easy to do. Not even sure where the antenna is located. Is it that little spherical bump on the top of the dash?
My MT is bone stock which includes 4.10 and 33 inch tires. Feels slightly underpowered, clutch feels light, reverse is too tall, but I just end up adapting to it and still love this truck every day. I know what you mean about backing up a hill or towing the boat. I tow a 2,000 lb boat and a...
Totally agree. Tried an E on a Jeep a few years ago - or maybe it was even just a D - and it was jarring and unpleasant. Don't let the fact that most passenger cars and minivans run a C rating put you off ("My Jeep is better than that!"). C is fine. D maybe, but only if you can't find what you...
I got my JT with the Falken MT because I like the slightly more aggressive look compared to the AT and I wanted the option for better off road performance when needed (even though I'm mostly pavement). It rides quiet and performs well on pavement and off road. Very pleased. You can probably find...
There's some concern about dinging your own rig but I think the bigger concern is when you get up to speed, launching a stone (caught in the treads) into the vehicle behind you.
I've always used Reese and they've been solid. There's another brand, I can't recall the name, but it seems to be the go-to for a lot of the Airstream crowd. Search on airforums.com and I'm sure you'll find it.
In rare cases is a vehicle, or anything you add to it, an "investment" - at least in terms of being able to sell it for a profit later. I'm just nit picking. I get what you're saying.
When I had a pickup with no bed cover I would always get debris/leaves/etc blowing back into the cab when the...
