Modern vehicles adjust. I couldn't tell much of a difference in Denver or Colorado Springs, but it’s noticeable above the treeline, roughly 12k. They do fine though. Except my 3.8l JKU. Even with a 6 speed and 4.10s and only 32s, it hated it. I’d use 4low sometimes when not needed just to have...
I’m not sure where you’re going with that, but my 3.6l has been fine till 14k ft. I was saying NA= naturally aspirated. Non turbo/supercharged. And 87= regular gas, which is 85 at high altitude.
It would have to be a 350Z then. They started in 2003. 1996 was the last year of the Z32 in the US. Maybe a Z32 if in Japan. 2000 was the last year then, but I don’t know anything about those later cars.
Which Fairlady? The Z32s drive surprisingly modern, but with more steering feel because its hydraulic. They’re pretty wide with a pretty short wheelbase. They’re pretty easy to drift. The VGs are pretty stout too. They’re no 2JZ or RB, but they can reliably handle up to 600hp on stock...
I have seen wild stuff like seats embroidered saying the wrong trim level. A friend of mine had a grand Cherokee that said overland summit on one seat and overland on the other.
I used to see people off-roading them in CO. Stock and beating the hell out of them and leaving plastic parts behind. It was sad to see. Mainly completely clueless young women.
They don’t typically burn oil. I’m hard on mine with heavy towing and heavy on the throttle and it’s never used one drop. Also a 2020. I change the oil when the light comes on. Mobile 1 0w-20 and Mopar filters. I am going to switch to every 5k mile oil changes. I just don’t drive it very often...
I just used the valvoline squeeze bottles because it’s easy. They are supposed to have friction modifier included but I didn’t trust that. You walk a fine line because too much and it won’t work as well. I used roughly 4/5 the required additive amount and I got lucky and guessed it right.
Both of my rear differentials (first one was replaced at 20k) started making a squeak for the first 100’ or so in the mornings after a rain. I replaced my rear differential fluid at 59k because it was starting to make noise when turning and I wanted to make sure there were no issues before it...
