  1. Easy JT mods

2020 still going strong 6 yrs later. No issues.
  2. Easy JT mods

We have a few cars with LED adaptive headlights. They’re pretty great. I’d break those lights pictured though.
  3. Rattle Rattle.....used 37's brought out my rattles.

Is this a troll? You bought worn out M/Ts. 5/32 right? And they’re shaking your Jeep causing rattles? Aggressive tires like that suck later in life unless they were rotated every oil change, never abused, and never out of balance or alignment. 5/32 is where they really start sucking if any of...
  4. Transmission drain and fill at 60K

I haven’t touched my transmission, but my engine, both diffs, and transfer case had the same level leave as went back in. They were all good.
  5. Door Off Mirrors for Towing

So weird. I would never tow anything large or heavy with my doors off. Edit: As a former CDL license holder, I take towing seriously and safety is my #1 priority. Over the years, I’ve had a lot of close calls, but so far no accidents. I almost had a major accident in VA two years ago in a...
  6. Transmission drain and fill at 60K

Was it shifting poorly before? Mine is 6 yrs old, never been serviced, and I can’t feel it shift unless manually shifting or in 4low
  7. So whoever said Jeep has trouble check this out

I miss how easy those were to work on. TBI FTW. I went through a lot of starters and alternators. Cheap autozone parts. I didn’t know any better.
  8. High Tide tire swap/new tires

Gladiators are amazing in the snow. You’ll be blown away with some tires that are decent in the snow.
  9. High Tide tire swap/new tires

Those M/Ts are definitely not good winter tires. You kinda have that backwards. You can go up to a 285/70/17 without rubbing when turning or flexed out. with stock back spacing. Your speedometer shouldn’t really be affected much at all. I have 18s, but I went from a 255/70/18 to a 285/70/18 and...
  10. Mojave SL tires vs LT tires

A lot of tires are only available in E rated. Some, like mine, are light and ride good. It’s definitely overkill in theory but it really depends on the tire. I still get stock MPG, even with a few inches larger than stock tires. Also, the towing has always been great with them so I really can’t...
  11. So whoever said Jeep has trouble check this out

I was an S10 guy. I’m not really brand loyal, but for some reason I always like GM trucks the most. I just know the 3.0ls lasted a long long time in fleet work trucks. I had two S10 Blazers. One lasted 340K and was still going strong. The other was 280k and in good shape. I loved the second one...
  12. So whoever said Jeep has trouble check this out

The 3.0l V6 was the one that lasted forever
  13. Mojave SL tires vs LT tires

My E Load Revo 3s are only about 62 lbs. 62 or 64. They’re larger than Mojave tires (33.7”).
  14. Mojave SL tires vs LT tires

Mine did, but it handles and tows and hauls so much better with E load Revo 3s and the ride is exactly the same as long as you don’t go over 35 psi. I got 60k out of my last set running them at 33-34. They wore evenly and they all had 4-5 32nd left. Those tires didn’t last long on my Jeep. I...
  15. I did a thing over the weekend

The trac lock works really well. It spins a lot less than other gladiators that I’ve driven that didn’t have the rear end locked. The brake limited slip lets it spin more than I like before it kicks in. Mine has always surprised me at how little is spins on wet rocks and muddy trails. It very...
  16. Vehicle build sheet

Just a FYI, fully loaded gladiators are very common. It’s a lot more rare to find one completely base model. Neither are going to be collectors items. Unless, of course you got the max toe in mojito, built on a Thursday with all weather mats the cold weather package, and all terrain tires.
  17. new to jeep

Good idea with the factory based warranty. I’d never buy anything else. People will see this and disagree, but after decades in the car biz, it’s all id ever recommend.
  18. What is considered "normal oil consumption" on a 3.6?

lol why? It shouldn’t be burning oil like that, but topping it off with a fresh qt of oil certainly doesn’t hurt anything.
  19. Interesting Viewpoint

I got towed out once in one of my Audis with summer tires. The 19” wheels were up against the curb and I didn’t want to curb them up. 235/35/19s so hardly any sidewall.
  20. So whoever said Jeep has trouble check this out

After living in CO with a 3.8l 6 speed JKU Rubicon, I could not disagree more. It was awful even with 32s.
