  1. Carvana Gladiator purchase

Yeah, NADA is huge and powerful. It used to surprise me what they accomplish in court, but now I’m less naive and understand.
  2. Carvana Gladiator purchase

Nah. I hate carvana, but it’s nothing new. Carmax sold new CJD vehicles roughly 20 yrs ago. Not sure when they stopped.
  3. Carvana Gladiator purchase

I’d never buy from them either. They got kicked out of NC for a yr because they can’t even handle simple dmv paperwork. That’s buy here pay here dirt lot level of incompetence. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I could go on a long rant about how I hate basically everything about their...
  4. Overheating from idling too long

I swear my cooling fan works when it wants to. I can pull heavy trailers and not have it heat up at all but in traffic it either stays right at 200 or goes up to 220 and then cools back down. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason.
  5. It's official, I have a Jeep "Collection"

Well aren’t you a wealth of information. Honestly though, thank you for the solid response.
  6. It's official, I have a Jeep "Collection"

Congrats on the Jeep. What is a chase rack?
  7. We are driving around the world in our Jeep Gladiator we call DAUNTLESS

My girlfriend and I have been watching your videos. Looking forward to watching this one.
  8. Anyone with over 100k miles on their 3.6 yet ?

I’ve been seriously considering trading mine in on something else because I don’t trust this drivetrain anymore. I only have 63k miles on mine, but I’ve towed and hauled a lot with it and I drive with a heavy foot. I’ve had more dozens of vehicles than I can count, and always driven the same way...
  9. spray in LineX bedliner, yay or nay?

You’d be a fool to not take that deal. Line X is amazing. I’ve paid a lot of money to have it on several trucks. It’s never let me down and it’s wildly expensive now compared to what I used to pay. I have it on my Jeep and my Colorado and several trucks before and I abuse it daily and you can’t...
  10. 2020 Max Tow M220 rear differential woes

The 2020 rear ends had issues. When mine went out at roughly 16k miles they replaced the entire unit and sent it to Dana to examine and address the failure point. It was bone stock and I hadn’t towed anything with it yet.
  11. Cerakote question

Also, use the gloves and keep it off the paint.
  12. Cerakote question

I’ve only used the applicator pads, but they work great and it actually lasts. Way better than anything else I’ve used. One piece of advice is on the stubborn parts like the cowl trim and door handles, you need to hit them with degreaser and scrub them first. Part of the problem is grime build...
  13. Jeep Wrangler Scrambler teased ... Uh Huh, we'll see

Two doors don’t sell. It’ll sell out early to early adopters and then fizzle out. I’d think it’ll be cool as hell and I hope they build it, but I’m sure they’re realistic in its sales projections. However, they probably understand the sales power of halo vehicles. It’s often underrated, but it...
  14. Jeep Wrangler Scrambler teased ... Uh Huh, we'll see

Jeep tested out IFS on the JK and JL platforms. That doesn’t mean a lot IMO.
  15. Jeep Wrangler Scrambler teased ... Uh Huh, we'll see

    They’re more fun for sure.
  16. Trying to Decide on Rear Bumper

That’s remarkable. I’ve heard that they’ve come a long ways, but they used so be known for being complete junk. I remember back in my XJ days, over 20 yrs ago, when all they had was a poorly designed hot air intake. Kudos to them if they’ve figured it out. When they first expanded you would have...
  17. Jeep Wrangler Scrambler teased ... Uh Huh, we'll see

They are actually surprisingly well insulated. A lot of engineering went into it. Being a convertible obviously compromises the design and you have a compromised seal. Even the windshield is insulated. Assuming you have the alpine option, crank up the stereo and turn up the bass. Turn it up to...
  18. Jeep Wrangler Scrambler teased ... Uh Huh, we'll see

Your Jeep shouldn’t have play in the steering or wander. Is yours lifted a lot? Mine tracks great with very little steering input. That is after the aluminum steering gear. It was like you described when it was new. Maybe because of the heavy diesel engine?
  19. Jeep Wrangler Scrambler teased ... Uh Huh, we'll see

Wait, what? I disagree with all of that. We often take mine on long road trips because it’s so comfortable to drive long distances and we have six cars and trucks and even an Audi and BMW before that.
