  1. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

The issue is the implication they made of "we can't do anything about it until we verify it's a recall", which is exactly wrong. And it's not exactly "free". When I bought a new truck, I paid for working shocks.
  2. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I get that's a thing for THEM, but they acted like they have to do it before they fix it. Warranties don't need recalls, just fix it and then do whatever paperwork you need to! I am actually relieved though. I've read that for a few years they were having bearing seals leaking. So when I saw...
  3. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Found a shock leaking. 4000 miles. Never off road. Called the dealer to get a replacement ready for my next oil change. They said they need to verify where it's leaking because there might be a recall. I said I don't care about a recall, it's a new truck!
  4. Battery Tender

    adds a little excitement!
  5. Battery Tender

Question: With so many people saying that you need to charge the batteries separately, what does charging through the trailer plug do?
  6. Who Wants to Compare Personal Property Taxes? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

It's been more than a decade since I was down there. Across the alley from where we stayed there was a house for sale. One exterior wall removed, internally gutted to the point that the two story was just one big room from ground to rafters, so close to the houses on either side that you...
  7. (Ram Dakota) midsize pickup truck to be built in Toledo in 2028!

After testing the competition, I would bet that they realized the JT doesn't really compete in the same market and they want to make the Dakota more car-like to match the "competition".
  8. Factory hood lock

  9. Stop/Start disable mod

Update: I DO have a temp! But it only shows on the Home screen when it is in split screen mode with the "Comfort" widget. It does not show if it's full sized or on the dedicated page. I also don't think it actually measures interior temp. Seems to just be a reference in 3.9 degree increments...

    Great advertising!
  11. Help with purchase

    Nighthawk
  12. Planned Obsolescence by Auto Manufacturers

Had a Sony Dash I used as a weather station. Instead of just ending support, they remotely bricked it. Imagine if car companies did that!
  13. Recommendations for high quality full length front & rear steel bumpers

I have a Nighthawk, so I can get berated on here with no waiting! Actually, I'm currently moving, so any big purchases are on hold. Then my next excuse will be not wanting to potentially mess up the warranty. Not sure what my excuse after that will be.
  14. Help with purchase

And then just to make things even more confusing, I have the wide axles and fenders, but no tow package at all. (other than adding the hitch myself)
  15. Planned Obsolescence by Auto Manufacturers

I think this is kind of like "God of the gaps". People attribute a super-intelligence to things they don't understand. With modern engineering you're lucky more bridges don't fall down, designing to fail at a certain time is not in their abilities. At least at this level of engineer pay...
  16. Recommendations for high quality full length front & rear steel bumpers

In searching tangential to some of the above suggestions I found this cheapy. 76 lbs https://www.quadratec.com/p/rampage-products/rock-rage-front-bumper-jeep-wrangler-jk-jl-99306
  17. How is this for a wear pattern (Yukon gears)

Kind of looks like some gears with a bad heat treatment I've seen, but those wouldn;t normally make it 60K
  18. Recommendations for high quality full length front & rear steel bumpers

If I ever get not-cheap, I think that;s the one!
  19. Recommendations for high quality full length front & rear steel bumpers

Did you link this thread in this thread?
  20. Recommendations for high quality full length front & rear steel bumpers

Following because I want full length, but light as possible, and less protruding than factory. And I'm a cheapskate on top of it.
