I have my kid hauler 2018 Expedition
My DD: 2019 Fusion Hybrid
My weekend warrior: JT Mojave. Boys and I enjoy it. It’s been in the mud, on rough trails, hauled my boat to and from the lake although my expedition is a far better tow rig. It hauls my stuff from Lowe’s/HD/TSC and whatnot. I would...
My Gladiator shares space with a Ford Expedition Max for family shuttle duties. My Ford Fusion Hybrid for DD duties.
I’m thinking about adding a Jeep GC WK2 Trailhawk if I can find one with decent options with the equipment I want at a price I’m willing to pay.
Next spring I want to take my GF and 2 boys out west for a 2 week driving vacation. I want to equip my JTM for the occasion. There are a few things I’d like to receive suggestions on and a few caveats:
1. We will make “tourist” stops along the way including bigger cities and hotels so security...
I’m not against GM. Just trying to stay away from brand new designs or changes and they’ve had some major engine issues lately. My ex wife’s 2013 Denali did puke a rod in her 6.2L, but engine was replaced under warranty. I brought it in on a car hauler. Mechanic started it up to back off trailer...
Ex GF had a 2018 pilot elite. Shut off all the time and wouldn’t restart. Once on a busy interstate. 3 dealers never could determine what was wrong with it. She recorded on her phone the issues while they were happening. Lots of error codes but no solution. Honda America couldn’t care less...
I’ve been a Ford guy most my life for FS pick ups and SUV. My dang 2018 expedition is making me rethink that. Damn rear end out at 70K due to faulty ELSD locker $2300 repair. Now VCT issues $3500 but Ford knows about it and will cover 33% since I’m 86K miles. What’s next? Transmission? Turbos...
I’m 6’0” but with a long torso. I always felt I needed to lower the seat height 1-2” but have learned to work with the design limitations of the Gladiator. I also have the garage cluster top clipped off and have to look under the top of the windshield to see lights if at the painted stop line...
Sounds like they’re trying to figure it out but bubbles indicate to me a small head gasket leak. Which is what was already suggested by the oil analysis
Hopefully you can get it figured out. There is a kit you can buy to determine if there are blow by gasses (blown head gasket) in the coolant. Not too expensive off Amazon.
