  1. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Well, I don't disagree on the "hinged panels". It's always windy here - and when I say windy, I mean 30-50 mph winds aren't unusual for us. I can add that the black of the sunrider does make the interior of a Jeep a lot more hot and it takes longer to cool down. I know this because last year...
  2. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Go read my massive thread .. . If you get one that fits right, bravo. If not, well....... And ignore those who claim it fits fine but have to tuck the bucket seals and so on. That is NOT a correct fit. Even Bestop says so. I have two tops sitting here and the fit is a fukin joke and no help...
  3. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Snow season over, removed plow bracket/cross bar and frame brackets. Took some thinking to resecure the hoses. I wanted to secure the bolts in the frame - the only way to remove them is to remove the bumper and brackets that hold the reservoirs in place. So I put on washers and nuts to hold them...
  4. Iowa Wanted 2025 Mojave X wheel

I ended up buying a new wheel since Iowa sucks for used Jeep parts and take-offs. Done - I now have 5 matching wheels and tires and doing 5 tire rotation.
  5. Main battery and Aux Battery replacement write up

IMPOSSSIBLE. These are never in series, ever, unless you did something drastically incorrect. There's so many mistaken notions and so much bad, even horrible info in some of these threads - it's no wonder I avoid this place more often than not LOL - stop/start will always be there, you did...
  6. Main battery and Aux Battery replacement write up

LOL And just how would you do that since they are connected to each other in parallel at almost all times. Be observant, there are often clues.........
  7. Rock Hard 4x4 - rusting skid bolts, very disappointed in customer service

Again, I suspect we are in the same book, if not on the same page
  8. Rock Hard 4x4 - rusting skid bolts, very disappointed in customer service

And I'd suggest both are needed. If the joint slides, you are hammering only on sheer strength. There are thousands also getting along with correct torque on stock bolts. Part of the real issue is using the stupid lift kit spec which is too low, lower than factory spec. It's yet another...
  9. Rockslide Engineering sliders/steps any good? How's the install?

My wife taught me years ago- buy it once, not 2 or 3 times. And other car people taught me when I was a teen -buy the best you can afford. Making it work later costs more time and money. (they were talking cars, but tools count too, IMO.) I wanted something that would be more useful and...
  10. Has anyone else had to replace the main battery negative battery clamp due to corrosion?

I figured your "mod" would be due to jeep impact with a bit rock.....not a drill Some nods aren't on purpose!
  11. Has anyone else had to replace the main battery negative battery clamp due to corrosion?

It would cause abnormal fluid loss. Bad bad bad
  12. Has anyone else had to replace the main battery negative battery clamp due to corrosion?

Yes, and it would be worse since the AGM does not have an open vent..... sending any fumes or fluid out the crack. That's my point. Been in auto-electric for decades ....
  13. Has anyone else had to replace the main battery negative battery clamp due to corrosion?

Started using it as a maintenance electrician years ago.
  14. Has anyone else had to replace the main battery negative battery clamp due to corrosion?

Exactly. Hope that battery is the correct type - an AGM.......... they are not free-vented. You just don't see that sort of thing with AGM batteries. I've never had a Jeep battery terminal corrode at all. In fact......these terminals on my car battery have not been cleaned in over 6 years -
  15. I was going to change the oil at 1,000 miles but dealer said I’d do harm. True or false?

Because most aren't shady and step outside of your world to the world of the majority of jeep and car owners. Age, health, location, tools, HOAs and more.
  16. I was going to change the oil at 1,000 miles but dealer said I’d do harm. True or false?

Use the buttons on the left front side of the steering wheel. If it currently shows the speed, then down one, then left or right as needed to show the oil life remaining. My oil analysis tests over the years have shown what Lake Speed Jr. has said - it's pretty darned accurate. GM came up with...
  17. I was going to change the oil at 1,000 miles but dealer said I’d do harm. True or false?

I suppose there are enough places out there that are suspect, they want to get ahead of that and/or prove - see, we actually do it. Last video I got was them showing they actually installed my matching wheel for the spare, and rotated it into the mix for a 5 tire rotation. Figured I might as...
