  1. How To Add Spare

While I will probably get a flat tomorrow, I can honestly say I have never needed or used a spare. The few leaks I have had have been slow enough to fix at my convenience. The couple actual flats were at home so I just took the wheel to the shop. Nothing like sticky track tires to attract...
  2. Can steering wheel play be reduced/eliminated?

I traded a car with very good steering feel for my JT. Driving the 35 miles home in the JT was kind of a shock. In my case, I do not think I had play in the system. But the feel was too vague. I did get used to it, but later I added a Fox ATS 2.0 stabilizer, and now I am really happy with...
  3. ⚡️ 2026 JEEP RECON Debut. 650 hp / 620 lb-ft, 0-60 in 3.6 sec, 250 miles range

If I was still working and commuting, the idea of an EV would be kind of appealing. Retired and driving around the US, not so much. But hey, the Recon could tow a decent size generator along . . .;)
  4. What's your favorite Bestop mod?!

    Another Sunrider fan! 2024
  5. 2020 Rubicon - Can't replace windshield because of phantom codes

Kind of surprised they checked codes first. I had my window replaced and the only time they hooked up a PC was to calibrate the adaptive cruise control after replacement.
  6. Individual Steps vs Full Length Step Bar

So many choices in this category! We have been happy with our Westin HDX steps. They are wide enough to help reduce the Minnesota road spray in the winter, and the rubber coated steps are really nice and in just the right place. Also nice steps for washing the top. Construction is really...
  7. Changing wheels, a couple rookie questions . . .

@Discount Tire Any thoughts? Have one of your stores here in Stillwater, so probably will go with you!
  8. Changing wheels, a couple rookie questions . . .

Hi again: Another way to ask the question--what do you think is a reasonable amount closer (Inner Clearance) that would be safe to run? Less 0mm, 5mm, 10mm? I am keeping the stock 33" tire size.
  9. Changing wheels, a couple rookie questions . . .

Appreciate your thoughts (and humor)! But do you really think 4mm closer inside could be a problem? Again, i'm not an expert, but looks like a lot of room in there. Thanks for the reply! I doubt I will go to 35" (famous last words, perhaps). But I am trying to keep poke to a minimum. Method...
  10. Changing wheels, a couple rookie questions . . .

Doh! Typing too fast. Meant lug nuts. Will correct original. Thanks!
  11. Changing wheels, a couple rookie questions . . .

It's been a long time since I ordered wheels for a vehicle. Last time I did, I could match diameter, width, and offset so there was no question. Can't quite do that this time. I wanted to check with the experts to make sure I am not overlooking something obvious. Current: Stock Mojave X...
  12. For those that DON'T like "ducking"

The wave is alive and well where I live in MN. Kind of a fun tradition. Carries on from the Vette I traded in to buy my Gladiator.
  13. For those that DON'T like "ducking"

I was re-ducked ;) Saw a Wrangler in the parking lot with a row of ducks and even had a license plate "DUCKME" So we did. Came back after a walk and the duck we put on their door handle had been returned to ours. NO DUCK FOR YOU.
  14. JT Owners Manual - How to obtain a hard copy free from FCA

I'm happy as long as I can have a pdf. I can bookmark what I want and, more importantly, search when needed. I keep a copy on my iPad and iPhone.
  15. SARGE GREEN Gladiator club

Have to admit Sarge Green is one of my favorites. (Gobi is another). Looking thru this tread, I really need (want) to buy some all black wheels!
  16. Recommendations for door sill plates

Another fan of Rugged Ridge . . .
  17. Your Jeep's name

Kind of boring, but It's named " Sarge."
  18. Bestop sunrider not flush

    Actually, I do.
  19. Bestop sunrider not flush

Yes, I do like it. Adjusting these two clamps is trivial. I don't care the the Mucket flaps need to be tucked up rather than down. After a couple seasons there is no damage on them, as there is enough clearance that the top does not crush them. I am also the type the likes to tweak things...
