It's been a long time since I ordered wheels for a vehicle. Last time I did, I could match diameter, width, and offset so there was no question. Can't quite do that this time. I wanted to check with the experts to make sure I am not overlooking something obvious.

Current: Stock Mojave X wheels with stock 33" 285/70R17 tires. Stock Mojave wheels(17" dia/7.5 wide) with an offset of 37mm for a backspace of 5.71 inches. Bore 71.5.

Plan: I want to change wheels and keep current tires and TPMS monitors. I want to keep poke low as it's a messy winter up here.

Questions:
Should these fit without problems?
What are you using for the torque spec on spline lug nuts?

After looking though a LOT of options, I found some wheels I really like; KMC KM719 Canyon. 17" diameter; 8" width, offset of 35; backspace 5.88. Running this through one of the calculators I come up with this result. I would not this this would be a problem, but really would like an expert opinon.

Wheel specs look right to me:

Finally I will need to change lug nuts. Going with the Gorilla splines recommended by KMC. Should I use the same torque spec as Jeep? I know these have lower contact angle and probably thinner wall thickness.

Thanks!

I would go with a lower offset maybe 12 or even 0 offset in case you decide on a 35 inch tire. Lug nut torque stays at 130 ft lbs no matter what lug nut you choose

Why change the Studs? Yes most Aftermarket wheels will not accept the Gladiator lug nuts.. KMC recommendation is good, the OE studs are METRIC.

Might be tight on the inside. (that's what she said)
Appreciate your thoughts (and humor)! But do you really think 4mm closer inside could be a problem? Again, i'm not an expert, but looks like a lot of room in there.

Thanks for the reply! I doubt I will go to 35" (famous last words, perhaps). But I am trying to keep poke to a minimum.

Method 316 is a nice alternative for me, with 25mm offset; yielding 6mm more inner clearance and 18mm more poke . . .

You need to remember that a wider wheel will change the width of a tire and if you off road that’s going to affect your flex clearance, and with a wider tire you may not want 35 but maybe a 34 = 295/70r17 will work better with that rim width That is the size I decided on for my JTR after wasting money to buy 285’s again

Hi again: Another way to ask the question--what do you think is a reasonable amount closer (Inner Clearance) that would be safe to run? Less 0mm, 5mm, 10mm?

I am keeping the stock 33" tire size.

Manual says 130
Odd, a sheet I got from the forum here says 120
But I looked in Lunentucker's torque spec images and those do say 130.

This is why you should be very careful with things looked up on the internet - I had to laugh as I was looking for where it said 120 here (I've got it printed in my shop, but doesn't matter since 130 is the correct factory spec - I was just curious why I initially printed out what I found on the forum)
