  1. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

I was really interested in going with Falcon adjustable, but was PMing a contact there, and they said their diesel specific shocks aren't available due to aluminum shortage... could be a number of months (like 6+) before they are available. Too bad, 'cause I think that would be a good route for...
  2. Gladiator Diesel Bottoming Out Poll - Let’s get some numbers here.

They gave me a hard copy stapled to my reciept. I've filed it at home, and am now on the road for the next 3 mos, so sorry, can't pull it back up.
  3. Gladiator Diesel Bottoming Out Poll - Let’s get some numbers here.

I was at the dealer with mine on this issue, and I looked at a gas Rubicon gladiator, and while I didn't have a tape measure with me, it had at least 1"+ or more up travel. I was in to the dealer because JeepCares said I needed to have the dealer look at the issue for them to keep going with an...
  4. Gladiator Diesel Bottoming Out Poll - Let’s get some numbers here.

A good point here... If an individual was planning on running 37's, and thus lifting the JT anyway, this is a non-issue. Just lift the thing and your done with it. Its really an issue for those running stock tires or 35's, and don't want to lift it for various valid reasons... towing, bed...
  5. Gladiator Diesel Bottoming Out Poll - Let’s get some numbers here.

I am still in contact with Kate from @JeepCares, as of today, and are opening a case when I go in for an appt. with my dealer. So they are still trying to work the issue within their process constraints. Correct, we do not have a confirmation of a TSB, but I'm still hopeful they will address it.
  6. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Thanks for the reply anyway. I know that "working on a diesel" version, especially during COVID supply chain woes can mean it'll be a while. For others like AEV and Clayton for the 2.5" it has been 10 mos. to a year +. None the less, keep us posted on your progress because whenever you do...
  7. ThinSkinz - New Satin Finish !!!

Purchased the Satin ones since my primary back seat passenger is my hunting dog. I also haul camping/hunting gear for trips, and I could envision a cooler rubbing on an unprotected door panel for an 800 mi trip could do some nasty damage as well. These will protect against that nicely...
  8. Diesel cooling options and ideas

@ZoneArc, Just checking in to see if you are still giving this approach a try? Interested in seeing what your results are.
  9. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Ok, for those of you who don't have the Pole thread on your watched list... an update on info on important info being shared there: On Oct 27 @GoFastGoFish posted that his dealer heard there is a TSB in the works: OK ladies and gents.. So after over a month of having my Glad at the dealer...
  10. Idaho AEV 2.5 Dual Sport Diesel Lift

Good to know that Method 702s are +25. 'Till now the only +25's I've seen are from AEV
  11. Idaho AEV 2.5 Dual Sport Diesel Lift

Thanks for the pics. Ive also got the Smart Cap and Sting-Gray, so gives me a feel for what my rig would look like. 37s look nice with it... Ive been wanting to stay with 35s. Afraid they'd look small on a 2.5 lift.
  12. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

The experience is more like a teeth rattling jarring, and a loud thunk. It almost feels like metal to metal impact is being made on the front axle as the bump stops get compressed to the point that the upper metal bump stop seats/rings make contact with the bump strike plate down on the axle...
  13. Idaho AEV 2.5 Dual Sport Diesel Lift

Thanks for the update. What trim level do you have? Wondering if the 3" gain was on a heavy Rubicon, or a "lighter" trim. I have a Rubicon with 35's and can bottom out the fronts. Wasnt wanting to go to 37s, so 3" of lift might make my 35's look small-ish. Your experience is consistent...
  14. Idaho AEV 2.5 Dual Sport Diesel Lift

@bwildoutside , Did you ever get the correct springs and get your lift installed? If so, anxious to see how much lift it provided, and how its performing for you.
  15. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Well, I for one have been frustrated because I don't really want to run 37s, and am afraid a 2.5 lift to solve the problem will make my 35s look out of place. My normal driving includes DD, bumpy fire roads weekly, towing a 4k trailer, and would like to be able to do mild crawling a half dozen...
  16. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Nice, Are these 35's in the pic? I'm considering this route but was afraid a 2" lift would make 35's look tiny, but this looks great!
  17. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Is the 3.5" of uptravel to where the jounce engages, or when the jounce is fully compressed? For comparison, stock bumps on the JTRD are ~ 1.5" uptravel to engage, and 2 5/8" uptravel to fully compress. How is your rake after the install? Sounds like you are more flat now, and didn't do any...
  18. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Thanks for the details on the install. I agree that jeep could solve this with slightly longer springs and Mojave bumps. Other than having to cut the bump mounts, I like this solution you've done because of the adjustability of the spacer portion of the bumps, you have a solution that is not...
  19. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Thanks for this update Barbarian. For those not looking for a full spings/shock lift, this looks like a quality (if not cheap) solution. I looked them up on their site and read through the install instructions. Edited, as this question got answered in subsequent posts: Did you cut back the...
