  1. Trail Recon got a new Gladiator

For all of you reading this thread and thinking of starting your own YouTube channel, don't use clickbait titles like: "What I hate about the Gladiator" "I think I am going to sell the Jeep" "I almost died on this trail" "My skottle burnt my ice cream!" I don't know about you all, but I...
  2. Final decisions on quietest tire?

I have been on Nitto Recons (37's) for 25,000 miles and am super happy with them. When they need to be replaced, I will get another set for sure.
  3. Extruded aluminum bars - where to source?

When I was building out the first version of my camper interior, I found just about everything I needed from https://www.tnutz.com/ A lot cheaper ($$) than 8020 at the time.
  4. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Has anyone tapped into the factory bed light circuit and repurposed it for something? For us who have cabinet systems, it's useless, so I'm brainstorming some ideas of possibly scene lights or a-pillar lights to utilize the factory switch and harness.
  5. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

The security bolt idea has been floating around in my head also. Once sourced, should be a simple conversion.
  6. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

These are the valves (amazon link) I am using. As a past serious home brewer, I am a big fan of stainless.
  7. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

I have double Seaflo 1.2GPM in mine. One pressurizes the spigot that comes with the Alu-Cab tank and the other for the shower. Not the highest pressure, but works for what I need it for. The only problem was my fault, forgot to purge them during a trip to Montana and after a few days of very...
  8. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

The factory lights in the Alu-Cab are National Luna, so every light in the camper ?
  9. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

And my 813 wishlist continues to grow. Are you currently accepting sponsorship requests? ?
  10. EcoDiesel Help!

I've got 45k on my diesel and would buy another one again. Except for the free oil changes that came with my Gladiator, I have done the maintenance myself so it's really not much of an additional cost. All my gasser Jeeps get premium oil so maybe I am used to buying expensive oil. I stock up on...
  11. The Pump Recall Instructions... Doh!

Saw somewhere else they check a screen as a first step and if there's any debris, they do the work. I'm also glad to see by looking at the instructions that I won't have to pull my bumper and winch. Was afraid they would need to remove the grill to access something.
  12. Dash Mount - Bulletpoint, RAM Mount, Something Else?

I'm a big fan of the Expedition Essentials dash mounts. Includes a ton of threaded holes for various mounts, a track system for Ram-style mounts, and includes a dual USB port on top to keep your cable clutter organized...
  13. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

I too went with the PowerBrakes and couldn't be happier. My rear brakes do so little work (based on the wear after 40k+ miles) that I don't see a need for upgrading based on my current use and performance. I have only added braided extended lines in the rear. Other than that, they are stock.
  14. ARB Twin Compressor Installed -- mounted under bed, above spare

Helping is exactly what I am doing here. Why add extra work by running and crimping 4 gauge wire when a simple, proven option is on the market? You are essentially telling the OP he wired it wrong with your comment because he used an Expedition Essentials harness. How exactly is that helpful...
  15. Hood Mounted Solar Panels

Another happy Cascadia 4x4 customer here (85W). I work from home, so the Jeep sits in the driveway sometimes up to a couple of weeks at a time. Every non-ignition accessory is powered by my camper's house battery, so the hood-mounted panel's sole job is to maintain the starting battery.
  16. ARB Twin Compressor Installed -- mounted under bed, above spare

If anyone is mounting their compressor in this location or another that may be vulnerable to water ingression, ARB makes a "snorkel" kit for their compressors. Or you can figure out the fittings (1/4NPT) and make them yourself...
  17. ARB Twin Compressor Installed -- mounted under bed, above spare

The Expedition Essentials extension harness is a proven design and has been on the market for years (and recommended by ARB). If I remember right, it was designed by a former aircraft electrical engineer.
  18. Getting Pennzoil Platinum 5W-40 Cheap

Dang, that's a good deal. I still have a couple more free changes to cash in otherwise I would jump on it. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Yeah, I have a bunch left over so I figured why not?
