I’m looking to replace my current 35’s on my JT Rubicon. I’m staying with the 35’s but I have to change brands because the tires I had to go with last time (due to supply issues we are all familiar with), are wearing down and have become so loud I can hardly hear anything but tire noise once I’m past about 45 mph.

In the past I’ve had General AT2’s on my Wranglers and loved them! Good tires and even as they wore down they stayed quieter than any others I’d ever run (I’m on my eighth Jeep). But the Falken 33’s that came stock on my JT were really good in that regard as well, and I was pretty satisfied with them, also unavailable at the time I got my lift and went to 35’s.

So, since the General AT2’s are now the AT3’s, I haven’t seen or heard much on how loud they are, or how it changes as they wear, nor do I see or hear much on the same issue with the Falken in 35’s. How do these fare now on this issue.

I'm good with either but I’m also open to suggestions on other capable all terrains that don’t drown out all other sounds other than low flying jet aircraft as they wear!!

Replacing Toyo Open Country A/T 35’s.

Duratracs are pretty quiet with a very low hum that's barely noticeable. Many people say they get loud after about 30K miles but they are still quiet on my wife's JL. I'm getting the new duratrac RTs on Saturday so I can provide an update then.

I have been on Nitto Recons (37's) for 25,000 miles and am super happy with them. When they need to be replaced, I will get another set for sure.

Not answering your question, but I’m running KM3s and the snorkel pre-filter which are both really loud. With the hardtop, Hotheads headliners & Sound Assassin floor liners and now an ArmorLite floor liner. I’ve been really impressed at how decent the noise levels are even with singing mud tires. I can easily hold a normal conversation on the interstate. I think the Sound Assassins in particular probably make a bigger difference in cab noise than tire choice. You may want to consider them down the road.

When I had my 2019 Trail Boss it came factory with the Duratracs and they were a good all year round traction tire :)

I went with Toyo AT3's and they have been awesome. Much better than the Firestone Deatination mud tires that came with the vehicle.

Y’all can hear your tires?
Not on the highway treads on an HA, it’s mainly on mudd terrain and/or all terrain.

edit: sorry if missed some intended sarcasm, I may be too literal

What shall I say, might be embarrassing but I am very satisfied with the stock Duelers ....

Maybe a little sarcasm, but honestly I really can’t hear much between the radio, wind noise and co-pilot.

I think the KO2s on my wife's JLU Rubicon are not bad.
I have General A/Tx on my JT and they aren't bad. I got them because the ratings out there said they were basically a quiet AT tire.
I run stock diameter tires on my Overland, though, if that makes any difference.
I had Falken Rubicon take-offs on my Overland for a few months and found them not as quiet as either the KO2 on my wife's Wrangler or the Generals on my Gladiator

Maybe a little sarcasm, but honestly I really can’t hear much between the radio, wind noise and co-pilot.
You can easily do something about the first........ the 2nd isn't too bad, there's some solutions for that, for the 3rd, sorry, you are on your own. I won't even try to help there.

Those were quiet tires!

I have 44000 miles on my 35 Falken AT3’s and still pretty damn quite..I figure they still have 10-15k to go on them before I hit the wear bars.

My experience is, no matter rotation or not at 30k they all start to make noise regardless of brand.
