I find it amusing that every group I wheel with I'm typically the only JT in the mix. Every time someone will say how they can't believe how capable the Gladiator is!! Makes me proud that I'm out there tearing it up (not literally) with the Wranglers.
I agree it is a great park. We got off on a trail that one of the other guys wanted to go on. It is a red trail called Bootleg Creek. It wasn't one of the planned trails for the day. I did collect 2 of the 3 badges while there though.
Hard day of wheeling on Sunday at Stoney Lonesome OHV in Bremen AL. but we had an absolute blast. Broke both back fenders, one tail light, bent the front fender LED bracket down, knocked the tail pipe out of one hanger and broke another one clean off, tweaked the exhaust enough that it loosened...
Beautiful ride and great job on the custom tool. Being resourceful is becoming a lost art. Most people just settle for buying everything these days. It's funny how some folks are amazed when I custom make parts or tools. Very satisfying though.
I have the Dorman aluminum housing sitting on the shelf waiting. I was fortunate enough to find one at Advance a couple months ago so I picked it up. Some things just shouldn't be made of plastic on an engine. Especially something like the main component of the oil system.
I've noticed the new Tundras are square and chiseled looking too. Must be Toyotas new design. Meh, to each their own. I still love my JT and the uniqueness of our trucks.
I'm pretty sure that is 1-1/2" angle. I'll have to verify when I get home.

I made this out of angle and mounted it in the area you're referring too on the wire tray. Also added my remote battery terminal strips to it. I should have taken more time to bend it to follow the profile of the engine bay but as usual I was up against a time crunch. At least it's powder coated...
Thanks for the update and pics. It looks as if there's sufficient spacing for the zirks to rotate without contacting the plates. Did you clearance the plates for easier access to add grease?
Are the components a mix of different manufacturers or matched from a single manufacturer? Normally shouldn't matter but sometimes can/does. It sounds like most of if not all the work and parts are relatively recently installed. Something is off. I haven't heard of the dirty fluid. I seriously...
Sounds like something in the steering geometry is in a bind. Were any of the mods recent or have they been on a while? Turn the wheel to the right and look at the moveable components. Look for tight or touching components, ie, drag link, tie rod, track bar, steering knuckles. Something has...
I have a stabilizer I'll sell cheap!! Just be ready when you turn hard left, it doesn't want to let you go back straight. Hmm, that almost sounds political! ?
Good idea about the 90's. I'll do that when I install the skids if there are clearance issues. Gotta have the bolts out anyway. The front lowers can not flipped on the axle side because they're welded to the tubes. Those are the ones that may get plugged.
