  1. Nobody waves anymore.

I tend to notice that modified Jeeps are more likely to wave back, and in the country I get more waves than in the city. And unfortunately my fellow ladies are less likely to return a wave than the guys. (Although when I do get a wave from a woman it’s usually far more enthusiastic :P, so...
  2. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

And last update from the last couple weeks, got the tent figured out. I wanted a really light weight rack that fit close to the bed. Artec had the perfect solution. The cross bars are aluminum and weigh practically nothing. Roam caused me a little problem solving unfortunately. The bolts that...
  3. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

Finished the 3D printed dash covers. I tried printing them at a couple different angles, but the shape is not well suited to printing, so ended up having to use a ton of support material. Considering wrapping them with leather for a little extra polish.
  4. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

Radio nicely tucked away also :) Leaves room for a couple blue ridge overland bags and the mic wire runs nicely out through the wire hole.
  5. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

I also got the air intake for the Hauk snorkel to behave alongside my genesis dual battery kit. That is a 3 inch silicon tube with a couple pieces of the intake that comes with the kit. For safety I also added terminal covers over the positive and negative battery terminals that aren’t by...
  6. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

Finished a couple more projects :) Got the winch reinstalled with an electronics relocation. I moved the electronics because there was a bunch of mud inside the winch electricity housing after driving through a bunch of mud in the fall.
  7. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

It’s very minor and only in crosswinds at certain angles.
  8. Ride Quality in a LIFTED JT with 37's that Performs and Rides Similar to a Gen 2 Raptor??

I was so close to pulling the trigger on the Fox 2.5s. I went with the 2.0s though. I want to see if I can cook them. So far they are performing great.
  9. Ride Quality in a LIFTED JT with 37's that Performs and Rides Similar to a Gen 2 Raptor??

Lots of solid lift kits. I honestly had a hard time picking mine because there are so many good options. Sounds to me like you just want to make sure you get the right shocks and the right tune with whatever kit you go with. Accutune was great to work with when buying shocks and getting them...
  10. Ride Quality in a LIFTED JT with 37's that Performs and Rides Similar to a Gen 2 Raptor??

What at you doing with it? You mentioned a couple things in your first post, but are you going to any extremes like rock crawling or driving the Utah desert at 80 mph?
  11. Finally got my Jeep! Day 2 / 250 miles - Is All this Normal?

What everyone else said. Unless you are being really hard in the pedal or carrying a bunch of weight, you should be seeing 18+ at the end of a tank. You can also do a lot for road noise by adding a little insulation to the floor and roof. If it’s a soft top and it’s windy, it’s normal for...
  12. What do YOU do to make your Gladiator last forever.

Continually modify it, so it’s always comprised new parts!
  13. WHY????

Good call. Does look like this thing. Huh, fits with the existing cage. I’ve been running an 13” IPad Pro with the 67 Designs arm and one of the RAM mount iPad holders. It’s been plenty strong so far, if that helps.
  14. WHY????

Looks bolted on. Could be a cross brace for an aftermarket roll cage which is bolted in. Seeing the red paint on the sides makes it look like there is more than just the cross bar. Just a guess. If it’s not welded, maybe the cross brace is needed to make it structurally sound?
  15. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

Oh! Good idea! A mold wouldn’t be hard to make either because I already have the metal one. Just need to use that as a template! Now if only I had space to do fiberglass work. What have you done?
  16. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

I’ve done a little testing, and they are super bright. Unfortunately, I haven’t been in the trail at night yet for some real world testing. Next month we’ll see how they work :) They were really clean to install though, and the light risers are quality steel. Wish I could have found the...
  17. Axles

You can also add an axle truss.
  18. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

Good luck! I’ve heard a few people say that mounting before the muffler has more of an effect. I didn’t notice much of a difference, but only tested in the garage.
  19. MBRP Single SS Exhaust Weight

Ok! Drone solved :) Added a few details in my build thread, but simple answer was the vibrant performance ultra quiet resonator mounted right in front of the muffler. Reused everything in the MRBP kit and it just required two more clamps and a little pipe cutting. Exhaust sounds awesome now and...
  20. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

The last 3 weeks have included a bit of problem solving to make the perfect, to me, exhaust. First off, I bought the MBRP high clearance exhaust. I picked that one because I like that it tucks up and out of the way. My goal was losing weight, adding clearance, and keeping highway noise down...
