Thanks to Kennyglm who set me up with a steel Mopar performance mid width bumper, my just swap the bumper turned into another remove everything change the plate out, modify the front receiver hitch thing. Painted parts that were modified late last night finishing today. Love it will be better in...
Nice job Dan, I agree the one piece will make it stronger and the steel interior skeleton brace, should make it more difficult for you to bend. You must be getting nuts to drive your Jeep , been being refurbed for a while now…..Jack
For equipment like your picture I use only chains with ratcheting inline tensioners. For material like wood or furniture straps. As others have said chain does not stretch , and if I am going to rear end someone at speed chains will probably have a better outcome for me. The bucket on the Deere...
Hey Trent embrace the Jeep culture jump in and drive, drive , drive all the way up to NH for the Jericho Mountain get together. Real Jeepers don't sit on the maybe list we do, we do it right, we do stupid and we do send it.
I'll bring it to New Hampshire in July., going to be great to meet...
Rob do you have any interest in selling just one rim, or I buy all four but I would be trying to get rid of the other three. Where about in central Pa. are you?…..Jack
JT guy, you have weight in the back with the fiberglass truck cap , and performance rock rails add weight weight in middle plus a 12K winch in an aluminum bumper, you have weight , how about looking at the Synergy lift springs how much stiffer then factory are they?….Jack
I also think perhaps look for higher rated rear springs or spacers for rear, your use doesn't need the big lift if you are staying 35" tires. You do have addtional weight in rear, so focus on that instead of lifting whole truck. lifting more with weight you have up top might make handling...
Hey, maybes on the list, seems like we should be getting perhaps a couple more members to join up for what should be a fun trip? Anyone else wanting to come along it is a beautiful place and trails are not that bad and we'll get you through, looks like there are still members with room on their...
Working too much , waiting on a belly skid and have a few things to do to suspension and putting a Mopar performance bumper on modified to have shackles to pull that big Yella Jeep out when needed. Glen we both know if we say “Send it” Minty will go! Big trip for Pat and I, NH first , then...
Just get a cap, you can lose all those heavy boxes, put stuff in some light weight totes as water is no longer a problem, Max trax can be strapped against front wall of bed and you will be surprised how much room you have with out the bed cover. and with the taller space of cap. Security is...
Why not put the switch on dash somewhere and when you want to transfer on a level spot , watch your main tank gauge and fill it to say 3/4 or so.
I'm old if I was standing next to the truck and women came up to talk to me (happens all the time), I would end up standing in a puddle of gas!......Jack
Is it happening all the time now or are you looking back and not wanting it to happen again?
I had hop coming over steep soft sand dunes and saw others having same thing, I got the axle shock and have never had it again, and rear has a much more "planted" feel, but there are very few of us with...
It is what you make it if you think it is getting too easy, don’t use as big a lift and tires, work harder at the lines and see how you do. As for younger people not wrenching , my family is the Mack Truck family and they all seem to have it in their blood , I am old but my grandkids have it…it...
I think the steel bumper is an upgrade strength wise, plus you should get the steel rear rock rails that bolt to the frame and the bumper, they are the perhaps 1.5” tubes you see low on the rear of a Rubicon….Jack
