Thanks, I already have amber fog lights and plan on matching for fowl weather lighting. My headlight high beams put out 10,000 lumens each, so don't really want anymore white light than that anyway. Plan is to mount directly to bumper since no winch.
I'm hoping for a 4xe Gladiator, with the current trailer I can't give up towing range with a full electric. Until the self propelled unit from the Estream prototype becomes more mainstream, I don't think EV towing will be viable for distances.
Even with my rack being level with the soft top I never heard any wind noise. The nice thing about these racks are they are totally customizable. I have put on hinged panels to allow access to the sides of the bed.
Those warranties aren't always what they are cracked up to be. I bought headlights for my wife's JLU and my Gladiator from Highbeam Offroad with a lifetime warranty. It seems like they closed their doors last year with no notice. Had an issue and just never heard back.
Has anyone seen any sales on LP6 pairs? Only price I'm seeing is about $1,000 for the pair and hoping to get a bit off that. Guess I might have to wait for a BF sale or something.
So, I also have a Mojave and just replaced my bumper yesterday. I wanted to stay as light as possible while not modifying the frame at all. I went with the Rock Hard 4x4 Aluminum Patriot Series stubby bumper. It also replaces the skid plate and has holes for a top mount winch incase you decide...
Got my front bumper in and mounted today. Rock Hard 4x4 Patriot Series Aluminum Stubby. I honestly think the bumper weighs less than the Mojave skid plate. Not doing a winch, but might end up with a couple LP6 ambers on there sooner or later.
The funny thing is everyone saying that the government is forcing automakers hands. Eventually sure, but most of the ICE "bans" aren't until 2035. Automakers see this as mostly a positive and are trying to beat each other to the finish line. The performance of EVs is definitely there, and I...
Been considering that for the rear bumper on my Mojave, went aluminum stubby up front and it shouldn't add any weight at all over stock. 30lbs total for front.
I just ordered the Rock Hard Patriot Series aluminum stubby bumper. Trying to keep the weight down on my Mojave and it weighs in at a whole 30lbs. They said it would cover the reservoirs on the Mojave, so not sure if it would cover the disconnect too...
Understand the hesitation, but I already sleep on top of 3 100ah batteries in my trailer. That has gotten me over any worries I've had. The LiFePo4 is way more stable than the higher performance chemistries they us for EV Li Ion batteries.
With the Redarc equipment I'm looking at for management...
I was going to leave the main factory battery and disable the ESS one. I need to get measurements, but I think 2 to 4 100ah lifepo4 batteries could fit under the seat. I would wire all my electronics in the bed to this battery pack, lights, refrigerator, USB ports for the RTT, air compressor...
You would think SPOD would put a switch to completely shut off the unit for longer storage times. Apparently the BantamX does have a LVCO but it can be disabled, so maybe that was the issue.
