Got mine installed, but haven't wired up the back lighting yet. I know tapping into the DRLs is recommended, but my DRLs cut of when the turn signals are on so the backlight would cut out. Waiting on Add-a-Circut to get here on Saturday cause no one local carries micro fuse ones.
Honestly the biggest thing I don't like is they seem to source most of their parts from Australia, so lead times are going on 6 weeks for things like replacement drawer latches. I also wish it had a connector for portable solar panels, parking in the shade to keep trailer temps down means you...
The Mojave tows it well, but I'm also on stock tires and suspension. I haven't weighed it officially, but we tend to pack light, so I'm sure we are under the GVW of the trailer. You are always aware it is back there though, got about 10MPG average towing through the mountains
Took the family camping out near Monterey over the weekend. Trailer towed well even with all the wind. Going to install airbags and cameras before the next trip.
I guess it's a good thing I'm not looking to tow more than 6,000lbs at 55mph. I also don't need it to run indefinitely, since I doubt I would make a 6 hour drive without a few extended stops. I have 2 kids under 3. For me if the range extender brought back 50-100 miles of range it would be...
Agreed it is the current winner. Waiting to see if Ford actually produces their removable range extender they patented. Full BEV plus an optional range extender for towing would also be amazing.
They are claiming an electrified version of every vehicle by 2030 I think? Either full ev or phev. I will lean hybrid until towing ability is better for full electric.
So, they replaced my struts under warranty, but now the linkage doesn't rest on the support when open like yours. I think they put the wrong struts on mine.
So, my soft top no longer folds all the way back to rest on the stops. I'm pretty sure they didn't use the right replacement struts because they were backorder. Anyone able to get a picture of the proper struts? I have so Stabilus ones on there now that aren't oem.
Here are the low beam and high beam of my drifter headlights. I rarely get flashed and it is usually a lowered vehicle or I have something heavy in back.
I have a set of Drifter headlights from highbeamoffroad.net, they have been decent headlights, but customer service has just about disappeared from them. These things are super bright, and have a decent cutoff. I rarely get flashed. I have Diode Dynamic elite series LED fog lights in amber on...
Nope, never admitted to anything. I'm guessing damage during transit that was attempted to be covered up, since they tried selling it to me with a base soft top instead of the twill one. It looked like something heavy was dropped right where the soft top clamps down on, because there was only a...
