Hey All, I've done a bunch of reading but am still confused. I just got a 2021 Mojave I got a good deal on, only problem was it did not have the LED package.

I'm wanting to upgrade to LED but can't tell what the easiest route is. I read somewhere the 2021's have the same harness for LED's so is it best to go OEM or aftermarket like Oracle?

I have a tazer mini on order too if that helps.

OEM will run you upwards of $1k if you can find them available. Lots of guys run the Oracle. I wasn't a huge fan and ended up with the RC headlights. 3yr warranty, Oracle is 2yr, and the RC are $200 less expensive and free shipping. No programmer needed.

I'm looking at the @DV8Offroad light. Has very similar look to the OEM light. Not sure about the performance, trying to figure that out now.

OEM headlights are backordered but hopefully available in May. Around $750 for the pair, then wait for used fogs and DRLs to show up here, doesn't take long. About another $350 there.

Did you get the Active Safety Group?

Nearly 100% of people love the OEM LEDs. You can't say that for ANY aftermarket solution. The only people who don't love them are people in snowy climates. The LEDs don't melt snow buildup.

Your 2021 has the 4 wire "halo harness". You change the light assembly and program with your Tazer. Done.

I have a set of Drifter headlights from highbeamoffroad.net, they have been decent headlights, but customer service has just about disappeared from them. These things are super bright, and have a decent cutoff. I rarely get flashed. I have Diode Dynamic elite series LED fog lights in amber on pre-order for hopefully next month. Between headlights and fogs I'm at about $600. If you include the Oracle taillights I'm at 950 I think.

If you want LEDs for less than $100 these bulbs are great, no need for tazer or anything, plug and play, made for reflectors so minimal adjusting without blinding everyone Headlights, DRL, Signal, fogs

I’m a big fan of the oem led’s. They provide the right amount of spill to illuminate eyes or anything else reflective outside the main beam pattern. I’ve seen videos of other units with a definitive beam cut off where they drive down a hill and can see nothing above the cut off. To me it would be very claustrophobic and I think I would be dipping my head down trying to look up past that line.

I’ve always thought mine had a sharp cut off because I’ve never been high beamed.

speaking of high beams, they’re amazing. I consider them to be a safety feature. Especially, when I was regularly driving mtn roads at night.

Without question a safety item. The spill isn’t drastic but enough. With all the money that we spend on these vehicles this just is not one to compromise on in my honest opinion. I do know $$$can be an issue so I found this vid that shows some options. The two photos below illustrate a sharp cut off I recommend staying away from vs. one with some spill.

If you’re on a serious budget, check out Audexen 7” LED units. Similar oem look with excellent performance. Also one of the few that are legitimately dot approved. I ran them on my two previous Jeeps and just ordered a set for my Mojave, should be here Friday.

I feel lucky when I read some of the issues others have had here with various aftermarket LED's. I changed everything from factory halogens to LED's.

Oracle Oculus Headlights
Oracle Flush Mount Taillights
Morimoto Sequential Turn Signals with DRL
Morimoto LED corner markers

I have had ZERO issues, no messages on the dash, no hyperflash, and I didn't use a programmer for anything. I feel like with that particular list of products, not having any issues is a rarity

Here are the low beam and high beam of my drifter headlights. I rarely get flashed and it is usually a lowered vehicle or I have something heavy in back.
