Been working on this rack for a while with the guys at Xtrusion-Overland, I'm running it with the mounting brackets for the Revolver X4s tslot rails. They do custom sizes, and it is a completely modular system. I am currently finishing up lifting side panels, need the ball studs for the gas...
If any of you were still interested with a rack that works with this cover, I worked with Xtrusion-Overland to make brackets specific to mounting on the rail tslots. https://xtrusion-overland.com/
With the folding tonneau covers it is hard to put a rack on that maintains function. If you were willing to switch to a hard rolling cover, that would give you more options. I use an Xtrusion-Overland rack with a BAK Revolver X4s tonneau.
My plan is to run a few Diode Dynamics SS5 spots on the front of my bed rack. If I need to lift them up to get them to fully clear the top I will add another peice of extrusion to lift it.
I believe it is a 22" rack, the uprights are 20" long. I'm making flip up side panels out of 5 large molle panels on each side. Working on latching ideas and locking gear mounts now.
Not planning any suspension mods since the trailer on the other side is pushing close to the 6,000lbs tow rating. Have a Bak Revolver X4s tonneau with Xtrusion-Overland XTR1 bed rack mounted to the tonneau rails. Put in sumosprings to help with towing, and also considering airlift 1000 bags if...
Makes sense, at least for now we have to stop every couple hours to feed the youngest anyways, so I guess the range isn't too big of a deal.
Once we start taking the camper off the beaten path for longer trips the extended range will be nice to make sure we can get back to civilization.
Wasn't really sure where to place this thread as it has to do with a few different topics.
I'm debating on a spare tire location auxiliary fuel tank to extend my range. We will likely be taking 2 vehicles when doing any long distance trips and I don't want to have to stop twice as often to fill...
