So, this is going to be full of opinions…. The diesels and Mojave share the frame strengthening… diesels have iron knuckles (good thing)
the Mojave has pretty good shocks for a factory shock. But if your looking at lifting your better suited to explore other shocks outside of the Mojave...
Most of what I monitor can be done with the off road pages. Soot level is important and really the only thing I want to “monitor” until it’s tuned.
This thread has had me reading into jacan, and I really do like the ability to force regen if needed. - probably going to pick up this capability...
If someone better with the search button finds this thread already covered- please post and I’ll delete.
Looking to add JScan to the arsenal… (yes I am behind). Both of these are listed as recommended on the JScan webpage. However, I want to ensure I am not missing any big differences...
I have the ScanGauge 3 and agree it is better than the 2, I just greatly dislike the amount of space it takes up for the Jeep… it blocks a big enough section of the windshield to be annoying, and doesn’t really fit anywhere else.
Thanks for this!!
Rubicon- resale if the time ever comes, and 4:1 is outstanding…. Don’t always need to go this low, but when you do, it’s there.
the fact that you really don’t “need” to regear, unless going over 37’s begs the argument for if someone would actually do the lockers on an overland/sport…. And...
Have a full set (rubicon) for sale on Whidbey- come grab them $50 ??
Shocks are truly an investment… and there are some good points being made about how long a vehicle is being kept… what is the intended use? How well will they perform? Etc. I am surprised to not see more folks chiming in on...
I have heard that JScan can now monitor soot level and regen…. I don’t have JScan? But maybe one of you do and can confirm?
I like the simplicity of the scan gauge 2- and the size…. I wish a smaller scan gauge 3 would emerge.
1.5” spacers will get you what you need.
Spacers aren’t the end of the world- buy QUALITY spacers that are hub centric and there is no difference… quality spacers will have instructions- put lock tight on and torque to spec. Mark the spacer lugs with a paint pen, verify every 3-5k miles...
This thread lead me to toss more money at the Jeep. ?

Spray one wheel, let sit for 30 seconds, scrub with long bristle plastic brush, rinse….. repeat if necessary.
boom. Brand new black rubber wheels.

I have only ever made this adjustment on the ground. While not scientific ? I usually center using a plumb line off the fenders, axle on jack stands, no tires and measure to the rotor face.
Not sure on the gladiator as the two we have had the tow package, however, the JL’s when not ordered with the tow package have the wire taped inside along the outer wall ??? took a few to find underneath… but was still there.
Did everyone with issues update their tazer before installing?? Asking because I have helped a couple people now that went from box to Jeep…. Their tazers were super dated for what version was loaded- post update issues were gone….
It wasn’t even an “option” when we ordered our 2022 in January of 2022. 2023 far out order placed on day of release and wasn’t an option then either.
2021 and early 2022’s got lucky :)
