??? good deal we have three in the family. All three consumed a quart sometime between 4-7k miles. And consumption has been zero since… except our gray gladiator… it has had a timing chain cover leak for a hot minute…. Big enough leak to make a mess on the front of the motor- but never enough...
I have a mrtuning on my tdi with a larger turbo. Good stuff. From a reliability stand point (at least with tdi’s) once you break 1.5x factory numbers internals really start to struggle…. I try to keep the VW’s under 250hp for this reason…. I imagine the eco is the same. 300mark would probably...
Ultra platinum always… significantly better oil over just platinum…. Bob is the oil guy has a lot of data from different time periods to support this statement.
My opinion 5w30.
You are running a 3.5” spring and a 2” spacer in the front??? 5.5” up front?
have you replaced the front drive shaft yet, or picked up adjustable control arms?
I’ll try and re-find the video I just watched on a 3.6 rebuild and it was at 40k with significant timing issues…. Will edit when I find it- but there is a video floating on YouTube over it.
Did you keep your factory control arms??? Just pull both lower rear control arms and slap the factory’s back on until resolved….. use the uppers to adjust and get the pinion angle…. Jeep is now drivable.
once you resolve this- you should order a couple bushings and a couple Johnny joints to...
Would the Pin option on the tazer devices prevent these thefts? Or are these easily defeated? (I do not know much about the tazer/pin outside of tire size adjustment…)
So- low center of gravity is important.
Core 4x4 control arms top tier have Johnny joints.
Springs- metal cloak usually has the longest unsprung length.
You will need a front drive shaft if you’re planning on any significant droop.
get the control arms, and springs, with the tires off determine...
This is a really challenging question.
What kind of off roading?
On the rocks? Where having the least amount of lift and most amount of droop, with the largest tires you can afford (axles, hydro steering etc.)
Desert, fast, need lots of up travel for the whoops?? 4.5”+ hydro bumps, front long...

I am an old-school dork ? I use this in all of my vehicles.
Is this an app or a website that you use? I do like how it displays the data. I’m only 25k miles in so- could transfer into a digital means.
I love synergy and used a lot of their products on my jk. I am in the same boat, searching for springs- really don’t like the idea of not matching a higher spring rate for the weight. Unfortunately it appears only a couple companies are actually producing a diesel specific spring. Supply and...
^^ 100% this. The other upper is keeping the axle from being able to twist top towards the rear. Unbolt the other upper and rotate ???
also- pop a top! ;) It’s been an hour- we need a status update ;) ??
17x8.5 et0 wheel, 37” patagonias (36.75”)no lift- you can run around town fine and decide on your lift….
with the front disconnected and fully flexed out (stock) you will rub the inner liners front and rear… but this is disconnected and full flex… daily driving around town you will be fine- this...
Will you be offering the 1.5” diesel springs for sale separate from the kit?
The 1.5 looks about perfect for what I’m looking to do. Thanks OP for the photos.
^^ this. So many times it’s just something loose that allows the shimmy to transpire…
If not this, then it’s because the Jeep gods were not satisfied with the standings of your wallet and demanded $$$ be thrown at new springs!!! ;)
My opinion, we hear about DW with jeeps more than most solid...
Spent more money than I want to think about at Northridge. In my experience, anytime I have had any questions or issues- calling them gets things cleared up super fast- and they are always transparent to the situation. Ordered a PSC big bore for our JK a couple years back- issue ended up being...
