May be a few things; may be they did not hook up the av correctly (not sure on the 7") and or the truck needs to be flashed to know there is one and to look.
If your handy you can probably pull the unit and check your self.
It's a very big issue, even a chart in the owners manual for it.
Our truck is a good tow rig keeping it with in it's parameters. Being mindful of the drag is as important as tow rating and or payload.
Ok, hmmm. Did the wire in a solenoid? In which case they way over complicated it; but there they are using the power off the aux to energize the solenoid. Then yes the lights still need power and grounds etc. But that's kind of dumb considering every thing was already there. Will work, just like...
The lights still need a ground, is that what they wired to the battery?
IF they work then by default they are wired right. I guess LOL.
Mine are set to aux 3 and 4. I ran the grounds to the ground stud in the eng by by the battery for one and to the ground behind the spare tire for the rear set.
Now we have better info.
You are not over tow rating by much, every thing else is in spec. I would not sweat it. Maybe know/put an upgraded clutch in the maintenance plan. All I would do.
Go camp, enjoy.
Only bad thing bout washing is when you don't check the weather report.
Washed the Truck Saturday... and rain Saturday night
Soooo washed it Sunday also :whew:
But this thing is ez, only takes 10 min.
