I believe the IBS is connected to one of the battery terminals. If so, both batteries were removed for the aux battery install. The main was out for about 10 min and the aux was out for about 5 min.
The new aux battery wasn't touched prior to install.
The main battery wasn't tested or...
Thanks for this info as I was wondering if the main battery could also cause the message. Next time I'm out I'll have the local parts store test the main battery. If its bad, I'll try to get the dealer to replace it.
I usually have ESS disabled and the Tazer remembers that setting so I'm not worried about being stranded and just wanted to clear the error message. Also, when I tested the original aux battery it was out after the Jeep and after the test drive. I guess I was expecting it to be dead to let me...
My new to me 21 JTRD always has this message on. Today I replaced the Aux battery and still see the message even after a short test drive. During the drive I did notice the voltage fluctuating between 12 and 14 volts. Once I got home I used my volt meter to test the original aux battery since...
That looks great! What is the maintenance like? Spray wash and quick detail while drying? I have a good friend that does detail work and he suggested paint correction and ceramic coatings. I plan to get it done in a few months but for now, I'd rather spend that money on hard parts since this...
It seems I have a rabbit hole to go down as I didn't even realize this forum had that section. As for your thread about the product. I'm not quite ready to do the ceramic coating stuff as I've heard you need to clay bar and polish the paint before applying.
All good. My previous JKU (silver) was the same way with trail wear but a simple pressure wash and it was looking good enough. I tried that with this JT and it was an absolute fail. LOL. Perhaps I just need a decent quick detail spray that I can use between washes.
I'm curious how far the -15s poke vs the -38s. Lets see them!
Edit - I've listed these two sizes as they are the options for the KMC bead lock wheels that I'm looking at.
New guy checking in with my new to me 2021 JTRD with the Mopar lift, Mopar step rails, Black Rhino wheels and 35" Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
What's the secret for keeping the black paint clean?
I've been playing with This calculator and it looks like a JTRD with 33s and 3.73s that moves to 40s should be running about a 4.56 gear. As for the transmission, re-gearing will allow the Jeep to use all the gears again and reduce the amount of downshifting / hunting for a gear.
Is there a...
