True...but there's no denying the quality is about equal, if you saw them together. Then once you realize the price variable is huge plus the mirror coverage is better. Easy decision.
More mirror SQFT-age, equally as stable while driving.....massively cheaper.
Mine below....maybe it just looks weird to you because its new to you. To me its looks less weird than a round mirror sticking out of the A-pillar cab for 250 bucks.
Can also get them in round, if you want.
If they're already mounted it would be best just to lay 2 straight edges against the outside of each tire and measure them yourself. My guess is you're 4-5" wider than stock.
You're not going to find too many supporters of on RC products. Most of us are not fans.
Might be a good idea to start a thread with that topic. I bet it gets plenty of traffic. Keep in mind a lot of people just want to reaffirm their purchases, regardless if it was a good decision or not.
Yeah I wouldn't go that high. You can get up to 40s under a simple 2" MOPAR lift. RK, Clayton, EVO, MOPAR, Metalcloak all have great lifts for their respective designs. Can't really go wrong with any of them. And you can run any tire you like under that, for the most part.
You'll want to...
Yes...I mean the plastic, lol. You know...the cones that extend out further than anything else on the bumper and immediately get damaged and torn off with any real offroading? And once removed the bumper looks...well, stupid.
As for airbags...they're inertia sensors...the bumpers have zero...
They're really not all that heavy. The front one weighs 90lbs and its full width. A solid stubby will weigh that. If you look at the thickness it really isn't tat thick and both front and rear have plastic on them.
Honestly...a 2dr (the worst model Jeep) running too fast thru a whopping 12" of water and driving too fast over the rocks isn't exactly a great commercial. I like that the dealer tried (I don't think. Jeep made that) but it wasn't good at all.
I get it but its on you. You took on the role of "daddy" because you wanted to. I often know more about the mechanics and offroading than people around me. I may or may not choose to help or impose any "ethics". Its a choice. If I don't feel like it then I just move on down the trail.
