Scott - that is very nice of you to offer. It was a pleasure to meet you this week and to be able to break bread together. That was the highlight of my week. You are a good man for offering.
After I have calmed down some, I will re-think my participation in next year's event. They already have...
I was holding my negative comment on this very thing. I felt that no one on the forum would care. Glad you posted. Jeep Beach LLC, you have priced yourself out of my financial comfort zone. Why would I pay $40 to go into a vendor show? The vendors are spending huge amounts of money to come and...
Have fun. I just returned home last night. I only live one hour away. If you want to use your 4WD, head up to Ormond Beach and drive north from the Cardinal ramp to Granada Ave. Fun!
If your plastic is already faded, nothing short of paint will bring it back. Protection before it fades is the key. The products that will be mentioned are only a temporary fix that you will have to reapply frequently. Cerekote is the best that I have seen that works the longest.
As @Jeepmonster said, the step is minimal compared to the cost of these vs. others. I have them on my wife's JLU. She likes them. It does prevent rock chips imo.
I live in Sorrento
Winging it means I have no plans but for Jeep's sake...I guess you can find me on Ormond Beach (4x4 only) near the lifeguard station on Thursday afternoon, depending on parking space. I may drive down the beach north until I find a good spot.
I did away with running GRMS or...
I will be camping at Tomoka State Park Wednesday and Thursday 23-24. No plans either day, winging it. Will pull my Aliner camper with me to the vendor show on Friday and go back home from there. I live one hour from the Speedway.
I have a 6ft. awning on my half rack, and it extends out past the bed, like the op doesn't want. I don't drive around with mine all the time so it doesn't bother me much.
Head height - If you use the poles on the end of the awning, you have the same amount of head room as it mounted on the full...
Thank you for doing that.
My Grandfather bought 2 acres of ONF back in the 1940's through a government program. He and my uncle built a hunting camp on the property that is still standing today, although my uncle sold it back in the 90's. I was raised learning how to drive off road in the ONF...
What started out as the op happy he finally got his steel bumper that was on his build sheet and window sticker, has turned into a tool measuring contest. Springtime is upon us.
Took a ride through the forest yesterday, scouting for turkeys and stretching the Mojave legs out on some rough roads. Some of the main roads looked like a dump, some major drops full of household goods and furniture. I will never understand why people do this. The county dump doesn't cost that...
As someone who somehow "contracted" Raynaud's in Iraq in 2004 (the coldest night I've ever experienced) I feel your pain, literally. Working outside in the cold becomes time sensitive and recovery can take hours. I live in Florida and can have an episode in 60 degree weather.
I would say the Grand design has a better build quality than the IBEX.
For me, that is pushing the limits of what I want to tow with a Gladiator. I would make sure it's empty when towing.
To stay within @ScottBeach parameters I'll not list every Jeep I've owned, only the ones I bought same model consecutive.
