  1. Storage suggestions 11 months + (trickle charger or pull batteries?)

Without any better advice, this is what I would do. Either disconnect both batteries, fully charge them, and leave them disconnected, or leave a battery maintainer attached for the duration. If there's any chance of freezing, I would use a battery maintainer, and drain anything that could...
  2. Stereo upgrade

I do have the Alpine Premium Sound System. It sounds better to me with the Terra speakers, but I would not call it a significant improvement. It's hard to say, I'm not an audiophile, and I have to turn the bass way down or the thumping gives me a headache.
  3. Stereo upgrade

The dash speakers are real easy to change. There are several threads about it. I would start with replacing those, and see if that is enough. I bought the dash speaker kit from Terra Acoustics. I also have a set of the Kenwood speakers I bought from Crutchfield for the front. I plan to...
  4. No battery issue!

I would guess it's a glitch in the Amazon system. The 94R (H7) is the largest size that will fit the JT/JL battery tray, but the default for many of the models is the smaller H6 battery. The Aux14 size is used across all the Jeep models.
  5. No battery issue!

The average life expectancy of batteries in the JT is about three years. One or both of yours are at the end of their useful life. They have to actually fail the prescribed test procedure before Jeep will approve a warranty replacement. I would suggest this Amazon purchase: ACDelco Gold...
  6. Forward trail cam issue

It could just be a front camera or cable failure. With both front and rear cameras factory installed, the signals go through a video processor and is then sent to the head unit. If both were not working, I would suspect the video processor. With only one not working, it could be any of the...
  7. Battery issues

The head unit can take up to 24 hours to fully recover after power loss. Fuse 42 just prevents the relay from working during the Aux battery startup test so that the reading it takes comes from the Main battery. It prevents the error light on the dash for the Aux battery test failure. The...
  8. Big aux battery for overlanding?

The Aux battery is installed to keep the computers and electronics stable during ESS events. It is paralleled together with the Main Battery, so it does provide some extra capacity. It is not intended to be used for anything else. Just install a third battery in the back. Use a Smart...
  9. Start/stop disabled?

That much time on the lot, and during the summer, is hard on the batteries. They will have some capacity loss that charging is not likely to restore. They are covered under warranty, but Jeep won't replace them until they actually fail their prescribed test. I would try separately charging...
  10. Suggestions for side steps

I like the steps that come on the Overland and High Altitude.
  11. How good is Jscan!?

Sad thing is it used to only be $100 and could be purchased during every holiday sale for $80.
  12. Start/stop disabled?

It could be a defective battery. It could be another issue. When does the door sticker show it was built, and when did you purchase it? If it sat on the lot for a while and it's not being driven regularly, it could just be that the batteries need to be charged.
  13. Start/stop disabled?

Well, you're not helping any by saying that all will show the charging messages, because they don't. That is also incorrect information. I'll update in 2.5 years when my 2023 HA starts having battery issues.
  14. Start/stop disabled?

I never received any message from ESS that indicated battery issues. It would just show ESS Not Ready. I did get the Aux switches unavailable message a couple times. The only bad battery indicator I ever received was when the Aux failed the startup test. My experience comes from 4.5 years...
  15. Start/stop disabled?

Read what I wrote. There are no messages that the batteries need replaced. It does drop hints with the charging messages, but the only actual Bad Battery indicator is when the Aux fails the startup test.
  16. Forward trail cam issue

Does the backup camera work? If so, check the connection at the camera behind the grill. If not, it is likely a video processor issue and will need dealer assistance to repair.
  17. Anyone use/have a BillieBars - Gladiator Tailgate Cover?

I went with one of these, this time around. Bedrug Tailgate Mat | Fits 2020 - 2024 Jeep Gladiator, Charcoal Grey | BMJ20TG https://a.co/d/8XQjUVp I don't have a bed liner on this one, so I put in one of these. DEE ZEE DZ87026 Bed Mat/Skid Mat https://a.co/d/6186utp
  18. Start/stop disabled?

That is correct. This is the warning sign that something will need to be done. The only 'Battery is Shot' message you will get is when the Aux battery is bad enough to fail the startup test. Other than that, it will drop hints, but won't come right out and tell you the batteries are in bad...
  19. Did my tire size actually change

When you do the comparison testing, do not connect the phone to the head unit. This keeps the readings separated. If you have one available, use a separate GPS device for accuracy, or a tablet with a GPS app, to compare against the odometer.
  20. Start/stop disabled?

It will show various messages for conditions that keep ESS from activating. It does not show specific messages for anything battery related, just the ESS not ready message. If the batteries get low enough, it will show a Aux Switches unavailable message that indicates the batteries need...
