@Artec. You should provide a symbol template if you don't already.. Tried to paint the symbol red... masking was a huge fail, so ordered some artist paint. Even bigger fail. Washed it off and leaving it all black.
Anyway to provide a painting template? It would look really great with a...
Also started @Artec inner fender liners after adding a 2nd coat of Rustoleum Black.
Fronts are on hold. Started to rain and I need to drill holes and install rivnuts.
Thanks! I sent a pm with this information:
Front swaybar end links say to cut 3.031" off each end for an overall length of 9.063".
The bar is 13". Cut each end 3.031 = 6.062 off of a 13" bar = 6.938".
Sure enough. Removed driver side stock CAs and the passenger UCA slid into place.
One thing learned during this install. If something doesn't fit try raising or lowering the jack.
Found an incorrect measurement/typo for the front swaybar links so waiting for a response from @Clayton Off...
Thanks! Got stuck before it got dark. Upper Control arm (UCA) wasn't aligning. Double checked measurements... I'm going to try removing the UCA and LCA on the driver side. I think it may be holding it from aligning.
Making progress. Actually tried to tap out but my mechanic is too busy. ??
Fender liners and fenders pulled.
Starting on passenger side. Kicking my own ass....but doing it myself.
Call them. Tell 'em Jeff referred you....the guy with the Gladiator that went to the shop for install help. Also if you're west enough to pick up or meet they will give you a better price. :)
Loving it! Had issues during initial install but drove to Orange County and they helped me out.
I also got their rack and mounted traction boards. See my thread for pics.
Curious about the bed mods if they will fit with the cover retainers.... i.e. molle panels or swing out storage.
So far...
I have the same switch kit! Quality, so far. Only using 2 switches. 3rd looking to add onboard air, so ran across your thread.
Any issues with it behind the inner fender?
Do you have aftermarket inner fender liners?
Method bead grips and Yoko 37s installed!
With the rain and life in the way the front lift is delayed. Rear is finished other than tightening the jam nuts. I don't have wrenches that big and will need to make a purchase. Did crack my 21mm impact socket. So need another before moving...
Recruited my kids to help and got the rear 90% completed.
I'll have a bit of a writeup....more of a notice of differences from videos....but this is the only pic so far. Darkness and the need to close my garage door cut today's progress short.
Did already order 37 Yokos and Method Bead grips...
Used this one. Same specs as another install that I watched. Range seems great and clear. Looks like it would work with Ham also...
I'm curious to test my TX/RX range. Sent my boy about half mile away with a handheld and comms were good.
Bingfu Ham Radio Mobile Radio Antenna Dual Band VHF...
Nice install!
I'm only running the MXT575 so installed a GMRS band 3dB gain antenna.
I ran the power for my GMRS directly to an aux switch. I do have the aftermarket Lasfit switches, so don't know if they provide more isolation than factory...maybe so.
I also left the 15A fuse in place...
Sold my next born to Discount Tire for wheels and 37s....add to that my RV needs new tires (6).
Jokes on you Discount....I am neutered! ?
Pics will be on my buil thread when received next week.
