12" Radio Replica ?

I currently have the 7" radio and saw this one for around $1,000 on ebay.
It's advertised as plug & play and is very tempting to install imo, but I'm sure there's a risk factor.

I'm open to recommendations on any other replacements.

most of these knock radios are junk and id be suspicious of the vent rerouting.
The new stinger horizon 10 & 12 are high quality units though I took one apart that was broken in transit. Very Well built id recommend it. Ill put one in when my 7” radio craps out

Edit just for clarity I took apart the 10” radio which is the one id go for because it keeps the factory vents.

If there is a decent return policy go for it. I’ve had this cheap Amazon one in for over a year now and happy with it. Only issue is it doesn’t turn off properly when the doors are off and truck turned off

I went the $100 cheap route and didn't change anything while picking up 2 extra cameras. But not for everybody;

The left side is the dash cam thats part of the unit. It allows you to swivel it. The right is a standalone "backup" camera. Comes with a pretty long wire so you could add it as a trailer or trail cam essentially

Get the stinger 12. You can get the blind spot cameras, night vison front camera, 1 extra cam input and keep you factory back up. Pre - set for kicker/stinger amps for music and so so so so so so much more. Music options is unlimited, lighting controls. To me its 1000000% upgrade from factory unit even better then this new 12inch crap we got

If i still had my 21 diesel overland i would install this ASAP. MY new 24 max tow 12 inch screen is useless to me because i cant add nothing to it. Beautiful useless screen. Get the stringer and start added everything you need.

I did not like the vents at first, same for the new post 2024 factory units. They had to compromise somewhere but overall they look really good. The stinger 12 has so many functions and if you love music with its pre-amp set up alone blows the factory unit away.

I find my factory 12 inch screen to be useless to be honest. I don't have navigation and and alpine premium. See below

And I used an extra marine mount I had. I do recommend getting one because theirs is horrible.

I really like the Stinger systems, but the only thing that turns me off is that I've read the XM radio doesn't display album art. Can anyone here confirm that to be true or false?
