I called Sat Am, needed silver with Max tow. I was hammering 4 dealers in an hour of 4 coffees, Waiting for the buyer of my F150 to arrive.

Got an amazing deal ,out the door, tax and tags included , for less then the sticker price. 3.7 under invoice. Sport, Max Tow, 24S, Aux Switch, Prem Sunrider, Bedliner. Automatic of course. Silver. For 1500 more then my custom order would have been, I got 5200.00 in stuff I would not have ordered. And...my wife would not have to tolerate me commuting for 8 weeks on I 95. Darn good day!! We did travel 2 hours and 20 minutes though DC traffic on a Saturday in August, but it was well worth it.

Sticker 42,620
Invoice per Edmunds is 41,215
Price on P.O 39, 680
Price under invoice 1535

=(39680/41215)-1
OR
(39680-41215)/41,215 = 3.7%

What was the invoice price and what did you pay?

It might be a good deal to you but what are the numbers so the rest of us can determine what the deal was, but as long as you are happy.

I feel like these posts where the numbers are left out fall into one of two categories:

1) Impulse buyer who found the forums after purchase. (Completely ok, you learned, and I welcome you!)

2) Dude who got hoodwinked by the dealer into thinking he got a good deal...when he really didn't.

I bought from Browns in Sterling, VA as well (I live right down the street) and they did very well with both my trade and Gladiator Rubicon purchase. They matched my best trade offer when negotiating with 3 other local dealers, and above KBB trade numbers and I bought my Rubicon for 5% below invoice and they threw in rubber mats. Most of the other local dealers require you to order to get 5% below and these guys were willing to do it for one on their lot. They do charge a $849 dealer fee though. Good guys to work with. You can ask for Thierry and he can help you with this pricing.

MSRP (including destination): $59,090
Invoice: $55,516
Purchase Price: $52,740.20
Plus Dealer fee: $849

I also bought an extended warranty that covers bumper to bumper for 100k miles and 7 years.for $2,200 in addition to the numbers above.

Yikes $800 dealer fee! That’s where things get misleading. Spencer charges $75 fee so even though he only does 3% under invoice he actually could be cheaper overall depending on your build.

Yes, that seems common in the DC area and every dealer I talked to that does the below invoice pricing seems to charge a similar fee. Browns has it posted on their wall stating it isn't negotiable so they seem fixed on this fee. In my purchase I was accepting of it as the 5% below on a Jeep off their lot seemed acceptable, especially when buying from my local dealer and not driving anywhere to get it.

Agreed. Great price off the lot and not bad overall. To me anywhere from 3-5% under invoice is a great price in the current landscape.

In my experience in the northern VA, DC are car dealers tend to leave vehicles with a lot of the shipping materials still on the vehicles even when lined up for show, if the equate that into charging dealer fees so be it, I think that's not a bad deal for one off the lot.

That's funny, I spend 4 months investigating and planning a custom order because I don't want to afford a bunch of "packages' and some guy says I am impulsive. 5th wrangler with a CJ in the garage, F150 sold in 3 week and I am impulsive. God bless the internet.

42,400, Out the door. Sticker was 42,620. That 42,400 included tax, tags, process and dest). ( Sport 24S, Max Tow, Auto, Switch group,Prem Sunrider, Bedliner) Wait a year watching for April 2019 to arrive, Spend 5 weeks shopping the east coast looking for a stripped auto Max tow, no fancy package, waiting for F150 to sell. Hammer 4 dealers in an hour on caffeine while the buyer is in route and get 2 good deal s in email quotes 2.5 hours from the house. And someone calls that impulsive. I call it a God moment. God bless the internet!

Don't get so defensive.

You came here telling people what a good deal you got, but didn't provide details. Still you haven't provided enough details to anyone to easily determine what sort of deal you really got on the Jeep. To decipher if you got a good deal I'd have to look up/estimate what taxes & tags are in your area. If you've spent 4 months researching costs you know how to calculate the invoice price. Calculate the percentage below invoice you got including all dealership fees, but BEFORE taxes and tags. Post that and we'll all rate the deal you got.
