I love my JT and it has impressed me beyond my expectations coming from a JKU. The little things that I can nitpick can be overlooked as it's not that big a deal. I know what I was getting into with the JT so it is what it is.

If I wanted a flashy car that will rip around corners and accelerate fast with a good exhaust note I'd buy something that fits that bill.

My needs now lean towards a truck that's not so big that I can't park in downtown areas or in a parking garage and still be different and fun and the JT fits the bill just fine.

After only 1 year on the market, Gladiator is already outselling Ridgeline, Frontier and Canyon, and closing in on Ranger and Colorado. So it’s got to be doing something right.

Funny. I chose my JT over the Colorado which was the first choice before I thought about the JT. The Ranger was a second choice to the Colorado. BTW, I was looking at 2WD trucks as I don't use 4WD enough to justify the costs.

The Colorado was a nice truck with a dampened tail gate, corner steps, and a decent interior but the styling was just meh... plus that 4 cylinder couldn't muster enough steam to get out of its own way so you have to pay the $3k for the V6.

The Ranger looked good and had a lot of pep with the 4 cylinder turbo but I don't like that concept in a truck. Something just didn't seem right with a small high revving turbo 4 in a truck. The ride quality was just wrong. It was so soft and plush but couldn't hold a corner worth a damn. I was bouncing like a bobble head doll going over speed bumps and making turns. No dampened tail gate, horrible interior, and the worst part of it was the dealer didn't even have 2021, only 2020 models they are selling at 2021 Colorado prices.

Now the JT? It has it all. Looks that can't be beat. V6. Nice ride and handling. Comfort. Great interior. 4WD standard. Dampened tail gate. And it's a convertible!

Best of all, I got it for the same price as the best Ranger offer...
