I would generally agree, but it appears that when these fellows make a reservation they are assigned a dealer and the dealer sets the price. In the case of a first edition reservation there is no agreed upon price, so the dealer will set the price when it comes time to pick an choose options. Some dealers have indicated MSRP, others have indicated that they are going to mark up the first edition over MSRP. Reservations are also not transferable.Reservation spots can get pretty valuable when models sell out. A first edition Bronco spot could earn you a few bucks today.
Jaguar is that high?I always heard from owners they were terribly unreliable. Cool though. Reminds me of my parents.Actually, ford’s initial quality is well behind FCA flagship brands Dodge, Ram and Jeep. Bronco will be plenty cool but I’d be concerned at how long its taken to come to market. I welcome it, will make the jeep brand stay sharp.
Mopar or no car!

Hah. I traded my 2017 Canyon All Terrain in on my Gladiator.that's more because chevy/gmc has the honda/acura, toyota/lexus thing going on with the everyman brand and the luxury version of it. there are people that refuse to buy chevy, but love gmc and vice-versa. aside from the exterior looks and badging, the canyon and colorado are identical trucks (i actually tested both and bought a canyon that i traded in for my gladiator). i don't see ford devoting the resources to make an internal competitor to the ranger because it would be a fundamentally different midsize truck, not a reskin. don't get me wrong, i'd love to see a bronco pickup, but I don't see it happening.
My dealer reached out to prospective Bronco buyers months ago to fill allocations of "First Edition package" Bronco's. Reservations are not transferable but you can back out & let the next in line take your spot. $$$$$I would generally agree, but it appears that when these fellows make a reservation they are assigned a dealer and the dealer sets the price. Launch Edition fiasco comes to mind
definitely agree. the all-terrain package made the z71 feel cheap by comparison. it was about $1000 difference when i bought mine, so definitely worth the money to me. i also like the canyon's front end way more than a colorado since it looks like a baby sierra.Hah. And to your other point, my father has a Z71 Colorado. It’s the exact same truck and it’s optioned they same so the price is exactly the same. The GMC is actually a better value because I got a nicer dash, seats, wheels, nicer looking exterior, and red interior stitching. I’m a sucker for red stitching lol
I loved mine too. My transmission was the reason I got rid of mine too. They finally came up with the proper fix for them, but by the time they finally fixed mine right at almost 50k miles, I’m pretty sure that my torque converter was damaged. I still got torque converter shudder under certain conditions.definitely agree. the all-terrain package made the z71 feel cheap by comparison. it was about $1000 difference when i bought mine, so definitely worth the money to me. i also like the canyon's front end way more than a colorado since it looks like a baby sierra.
i actually loved the thing, but it started showing signs of transmission failure under 30k, and my gauge clusters and intellilink (along with a/c and power steering) dropped out on me on highway drives several times. thankfully got a solid trade-in for the gladiator last week and i couldn't be happier now.
Doubt it. The Honda Element did that and Jeep still didn't up their materials. But, it does seem like the carpet is easy to take off. I just for the life of me can't see why they hide all but 2 drain plugs under carpet or the underseat storage.I like that the floors are (appear to be?) coated in an applied rubber instead of carpet. Hopefully Jeep is taking notes.
But to those mentioning a truck version, just don’t see it happening. The Bronco is built on a modified Ranger frame, and they would have no reason to cannibalize Ranger sales. MAYBE the Ranger take some cues from the Bronco in time, but a Bronco truck just doesn’t make sense.
Heck I am not even sure where the drain plugs are at yet being I just got the thing. Guess I need to go looking for themDoubt it. The Honda Element did that and Jeep still didn't up their materials. Wishful thinking on my part. I just want a happy medium between the carpet and pulling the thing apart to bedline it. I think something like that would be a cool touch and add to the “purpose-built” idea. I had small amounts of surface rust forming on the drivers floor of my JKU (probably because the doors leaked when it rained, but that’s another story)Doubt it.
