Looking for reputable gear shop in New England. Closer to Maine preferred but the right job is worth the drive too. What have you all paid in these parts?

I had mine done at Offroad Elements in Abington ma. I’d recommend them. Don’t remember the exact cost, I think it was in the 2200-2300 range.Wow 83 views and not a peep. I forget how inactive the NE region is. Always has been a tough one on the forums.
nice. Not sure what size tires you’ll be running, but I’m on 37s and went with 4.88. I’m not unhappy with them but if I had to do it over again I’d go with 5.13.Update to my own post which hopefully helps others…
I contacted New England Offroad Company in Portland, Maine to inquire if they serviced re-gearings and they told me that they do not, but when they have gears they need to have done they use their local dealership. So I contacted my home dealership and they confirmed that they do indeed do this type of work. They said that it would be best for me to purchase my own parts and bring it to them because if they were to source all of the parts through mopar, it would scare me into my grave. He said that it would be 3 to 4 hours per axle at their labor rate of $120 per hour.
Needless to say, I will be using my home dealership to do this work, as that is a great cost! Which is so out of the ordinary that I am stating that I am going to use a dealership to do my work. I also figure that since they do the work, they may cover it a bit easier if something were to go wrong.
4.88s here I come!
Auto or manual? I have a manual and was planning to run 4.88s. Been running 37 KO2s for a year now. Well I swap to studded 35s in the winter. But 37s for 7 months out of the year.nice. I think 5.13s with the auto would be the sweet spot you’re looking for.mine’s an automatic
Not close to you but I can vouch for Ocean state off road in RI. They installed my Tru Trac in my JK. Flawless install and has been great since day 1. They are mostly a Jeep shop. You pull in and there's Jeeps everywhere and axles all over the place. https://oceanstateoffroad.com/Wow 83 views and not a peep. I forget how inactive the NE region is. What was the final outcome? Did you regear and did dealer come through as they said? What was the final cost roughlyUpdate to my own post which hopefully helps others…

Dealer came through and was great. Said they found the start to a rear axle leak in the process but I'm sure they must have just hit the seal during installation and therefore had to replace that on them (or under warranty) because I never saw anything on my garage floor. But they only had it one extra day than planned. I haven't had any problems since and it drives great! Total install labor came to $1100. I purchased my own parts as recommended by the service leader who said it would have been more expensive to buy them through him... he's a quality guy and a fellow Jeeper. What was the final outcome? Sorry I missed your post. I used Shepard Jeep in Thomaston... It was right around $1100 and change for install. What dealership are you using? My '22 Mojave 6 speed really needs to go to 4.88's, as I am sure you are aware. If they get it done at $500 per axle.....great deal! I'm in Southern Maine, typically use Marc Motors for warranty stuff.
