2021 Sport S fender flares - body color confirmed :-(

Learned today that my 2021 Sport S will now come with painted flares vs black. I hate painted flares. I didn't know that back in early August when we ordered it. My salesman knows this and is talking with his body shop guys to see my options if I stay with Mopar flares. He might be able to swamp the black ones and take my white ones and put them on a vehicle on his lot. I'd like to ask him to get me the high clearnce rubi flares but I don't know if they will mount up on sport S? Does anybody know if they mount the same or if I would also need inner fender well liners changed too? Or should I suck it up and sell them (to a guy who has bright white) and try to buy aftermarket?

They should just let people choose. It is one of the changes I am most excited for. I prefer body color.

Dude. Painter flairs mean you don't have to get that stupid piece that connects the bumper to the fender. Most on here are trying to remove it. Rejoice.

Why would they do that ? I was never a fan of painted fenders . It makes it look less aggressive in my own opinion.

I'm glad. I wanted the painted fenders when we ordered in July. It wasn't on the 2021 order form.

Painted flairs are also easier to maintain.

The Rubi and sport fender flares have the same holes. It's and easy swap

I have and love my white painted fenders. There are plenty of other areas still to break up the white paint job. White should stay nice and eat up scratches longer, and if you ever beat them up too much just go with something after-market. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it.

Not so sure about that. Seeing quite a few max tow's with painted flares on the FB forum with that plastic filler plate. Some say yes, some say no. Guess I won't know til it shows up
