Hi guys,
I had my gladiator out in a really boggy mud hole yesterday (similar to that shown in my profile picture on left) and after winching through it, the above error appeared.
We obviously couldnt do anything about it out on the trails, and so i tried to drive about 40km home, however, we only made it halfway before the car decided to leave me stranded in the front row of a set of traffic lights, centre lane of 3, in middle of a major intersection, during evening peak hour.
It was over an hour before any emergency services could get there to help us and to move the jeep.
We couldnt even get out of the car for that whole hour there was soo much traffic and no where to stand off the side of the road in that particular location.
Traffic services eventually figured out that the gladiator had a park break override cable that you can pull so that the vehicle can be towed forwards...(the transmission is stuck in park). I didnt even know about this cable (bloody jeep dealership never mentioned anything about this when i purchased the car brand new a year ago)
I have removed and cleaned the large round transmission plug on the RHS...that one was relatively clean...so i dont think it was the problem.
Which of the auto transmission connectors relates to this code and can it be removed and cleaned whilst laying on the ground underneath the car (without a hoist)?
