Howdy yall.
my mojave has been experiencing drift to left side, clunking when shaking steering wheel left and right since 41k miles. Now Im at 45k miles and finally figured out what’s wrong. I first thought it was a faulty draglink joint on pitman arm side, but it turned out to be bad steering box. Do you guys think if I could get this done under warranty? I just have a 38in tire with 3.5in lift with metalcloak draglink in the steering component.

has anyone swapped out faulty steel steering box under warranty past 36k miles?
Really disappointing that my truck is degrading everyday 🥲

@JeepCares any suggestion what should do?

I see some play in the entire box.
Check your mounting bolts for proper torque and the Pittman arm nut as well.

If it still needs replacing or not, under warranty or not, add this.

I have torqued it to 100 ft lbs. the steering box is held tight and I have verified that the steering box housing isn’t moving at all. Instead, as I showed in the video, the gear shaft inside housing that connects to pitman arm is moving back and forth.

I have that sector shaft brace from yeti ready yet, I havent installed it yet because of that gear shaft playing around inside housing.

Thanks for the advice!
