This was literally keeping me from ordering so I thought I should mention what I found. Last year the RPKE was a stand alone option, for 2022 you can get it in one of two ways.
The first is for all trim levels (except the base Sport). If your Gladiator does not come standard with the remote Proximity Sensor, you can get it as part of the Technology Package this year (this includes the Sport S). The second way is if you are ordering a base trim level Sport. If you want the RPKE in that trim you must choose the stand alone option for RPKE.....BUT when you do, you must also choose a dual door option (it is the only way to get the RPKE in the base Sport model).
If you are ordering any trim level and choose the RPKE stand alone option, it will ask what dual door package you want, it's tied to it. Instead, if you want the RPKE, choose the Technology Group (it is listed in the details as including the RPKE) once we did this my order was excepted with no extra doors. I don't blame my salesperson at all, I had to do a lot of digging to find this and FCA should do a better job of setting this up.
