I pretty much max'ed out the various packages on my Sport-S, but I have to hit the button on the FOB to get the doors to open, no "pull the handle twice" to unlock.
What is the package that was required for this?

That option is not available on the Sport S.

OK great -- thanks! I had a feeling it was something like that!!! I presume this can't be retrofitted either, correct?

correct, sad to say. It's a nice feature, IMO.

For proximity you do not have to "pull the handle twice" for the doors to unlock.

Yeah, that's my son's Subaru Impreza -- just kind of used that as a short hand...

It's quite amazing how many features are available on these trucks. If you told me in 97 (last time I had a Jeep) that one day they would have heated seats, unlocking sensors, radar for backing up, leather seats, etc I would never have believed it.

Quite amazing what the engineers did!

Not sure about other JT's, but mine I have to pull handle twice. Only because I try pulling handle before it has unlocked. Too impatient to wait, I guess.

The unlock is activated when you place your hand behind the handle, then pull. I normally just grab the handle, listen for the locks, then pull. It takes a fraction of a second. No second pull required.

I know that is the way it works. But sometimes I am quicker than the lock. I should know better. I have the same issue with my wife's GC.
