I’ve read the manual and know I need Ms.90032 coolant. I intend to keep Mopar OEM coolant around in case I need to top off. I found what I thought I needed on Amazon but after reading the reviews I noticed people were contradicting about the color of the coolant.

My coolant looks to have a more pinkish hue through the reservoir plastic. It is the original coolant with only 5,000 miles. I’m sitting on the low line cold so wanted to splash a little in.

Before I order does anyone have actual experience with ordering this coolant?

Ignore comments online about color. As long as it's MOPAR coolant as outlined in your OWNERS MANUAL and is OAT - not HOAT or anything else, as long as it's MOPAR OAT coolant, it's ok

The same coolant may look orange or pinkish depending on how it's being viewed, what it's viewed through, and if it's premixed or not.
That link is for 50/50 premix - don't add water!
No more coolant than these normally need, that will last forever.

(that does appear to be OAT premix - and that's good)

You are buying the coolant by the proper MS spec and I would not get wrapped up in the color debate between pink/purple or even orange.

Most Gladiators seem to have what appears to be a pink coolant but I have seen some Wrangler JL's with the Purple color coolant.

It is all the same.

The goofy thing is that colors don't matter a whole lot these days as some companies, especially foreign ones, have really mixed things up.
Go by OAT, the type, the spec, not just color.

I wonder what our color blind members do............. read the label?

The whole color debate really got started when the JK Pentastars went from a HOAT coolant that was orange in 2012 to the current OAT coolant in 2013 that was really purple back then. Mixing the HOAT and OAT caused a sludge and everybody parroted about not mixing colors.

What also added confusion was the early OAT coolant spec was MS-12106 and later was changed to MS 90032 we see in the owners manual today both are the same fluid.

So long as someone is buying MS 90032 spec fluid from a reputable source, forget about the color and pour it in.

I’m chromatically challenged(red & green issues) and I read the label. OAT is what I use for my JTW per Mopar spec.

Thanks. It seems the coolant can and does change color due to temperature and time
in reservoir. I ordered the correct coolant per the manual, premixed.

Frankly, having worked for Voc Rehab for several years, I like your definition or description a lot better.

I used the coolant I bought for my 2015 JKU in my JT after I matched up all the proper type, spec, and OAT and I've had no issues in two years.

I added to barely above the seam or minimum when cold. When hot it is over the max line. How much over the max line is expected when hot?

If you added coolant to the cold line when cold, I would not worry about what it does when at the normal operating hot temperature. Every vehicle and every drive cycle is going to be different in some regard.

A lot of people also report having to add about 8oz or so of coolant after being in service for a few months from new. Some debate whether the coolant system is absolute a sealed system and/or is not perfectly bled from the factory when first filled.

it was cold from sitting overnight. 8 oz is about what it took to place it barely over the cold line. Every car I’ve ever owned needed a very slight top off after a few months of service.

I have not added to my 2022 and it's still in range.
I did have to add 8 ounces to my 2020 after about a year, it wasn't REAL low, but low enough for me.
Sealed? They can't be - they must breathe. It's like any other cooling system, except these have a high expansion tank/reservoir, but it's still a vented cap, I believe something like 17 pounds. If it didn't vent, it would eventually destroy that tank.

There's a lot of places air bubbles can hide in a new, dry system, so it's no surprise a few have to add after a while. Even my engine rebuilds - everything dry and clean, radiator totally empty, clean and dry - you can check and check, but only after driving a while will you really know if it's totally purged of all air.

i don't know if they apply a vacuum to the cooling system to try to purge air - but that would be one way for a factory to try to work air out of a brand new system.
The 4.0 was so notorious for trapped air in the cooling system, some had a small hole in the thermostat body that you clocked at 12:00 to allow air to move out of the block and upper hose (where on some Jeeps, it ran so high air was trapped in the hose)
For my car with 4.0, when I work on the cooling system, I park it at the back entrance to my garage where the nose is up in the air compared to the rest of the car, that helps.

I can't say "every", but I've had some - including my 2020 JT. My 2022 is still running with the factory fill and is so far, fine. (going on 2 years this July)
