You could say it, but no a 2.0 shock is not superior to a 2.5 with internal bypass and your standard bump stops would hit like a dump truck at speed in the desert.
Good point and I would agree with you if the only place you drove was in the desert.

If the only place I drove was at moderate speeds on the street, I might agree with you. The 2.0s are definitely softer, but that's also what makes them under dampened when driven aggressively... anywhere. We run the 2.0s on my wife's JLUR and obviously the 2.5s on my mojave. Better rock crawler because they are softer and have more travel for sure. Better at speed on trails, snow, windy mountain roads? Not at all. Better on desert washboards and whoops at freeway speed? Not even in the same league.

Having owned JT Rubicon and a Bronco Wildtrak w/ Hoss, I say Mojave all day.

I'm clearly biased - that being said, the front end is stronger than a Rubicon's when you get up under the chassis and look. I jumped mine the day after we bought it in Warner Valley and I couldn't believe how awesome it rode for a stock Jeep. Also, you get to take advantage of the wider stance and taller gearing in the transfer case (confirming 1st hand that 4lo can go >50mph). These Mojaves can do silly things bone stock if you throw a Tazer on them to override the rear locker in 2wd and 4hi.

Seats are better fitting, and steering wheel is more ergonomic as well.

On ours, we added a front eLocker for the occasional rock crawl/night run at Sand hollow, which isn't hard if you're already tearing into the axles for a re-gear.

Also, adding sway bar disconnect is simple, take a Rubicon factory take-off, swap the brain for an air solenoid, and you can disconnect at will.

Actually, my truck with the mediocre suspension rides and performs quite well on the trails around here in Missouri and Arkansas. Nice chatting with you and enjoy your desert.

I've been doing a lot of digging, and I am definitely leaning towards the 2023 Mojave. Do any of the aftermarket radios have wireless Carplay availability?

Yes several do - I'd check Crutchfield for compatibility and then price match elsewhere given they lean towards MSRP.

I believe you just agreed with me? I never said the 2.0s are bad, we run them on the wife's Jeep. Saying they are better than the 2.5s on the mojave was where you lost me. They simply aren't better. That doesn't make them bad, they are still a quality shock and more than enough for trails. At speed is where they are under dampened and will fade rather quickly compared to the reservoir 2.5s. Again, we run the 2.0s on 1 of our Jeeps but I wouldn't downgrade the mojave to them.

I guess I did. I just get irritated when someone says their Jeep is far superior to mine even if it is.

Why get irritated they are just jeeps. I think Jeep really missed it with the Willys, it should have little bit bigger tires, 4.10 wide axles , and it would bridge the gap between a base sport and the Rubicon / Mojave at a better price point and sell a lot. Then again Jeep might be saying people stop and look back at the beginning with the Willys CJ2A, simple basic and also awesome in it’s own right. Owned a few Jeeps from my 46 CJ2A to my Mojave, huge difference even my wife’s 2019 Shara over her 2010 Sport huge difference. I was gone from Jeep after my 82 Scrambler , needed a bigger vehicle and went Chevy trucks for 21 years and thrilled to be back!
Mojave is pretty freaking awesome suspension from factory and I live in Pa. and closest I get to deserts is driving on beaches of East coast, but take extreme pleasure in hitting speed bumps and railroad tracks at speed they just are not there.
You already upgraded your shocks so , hang on I have spent so much on things I did not know existed and passed the $10,000 mark awhile ago on an unlifted stock tire Jeep……Jack

I have a little dongle, was like 50 bucks on Amazon, Android Auto is wireless now.
