The whistle is nearly unbearable. I was looking for a missing grommet, and found nothing, that I can see.
But this piece seems disconnected from what’s above it. Does yours look the same?

The first picture is looking in, the second closer to the circled area.

The dealership kept it for a few days. Replaced the windshield and driver door seal without resolution.

And of course welcome other ideas. 😩😩😩

I’ll comment with a video of the sound.

Sound isolation can be a pain. Where you think you hear it is coming from can be reverb from it coming a totally opposite way.

Have you tried cycling the recirculation button on the HVAC from inside to outside air to see if it is a fresh air intake issue? Maybe take the cabin air filter out? The sound almost reminds me of thin paper acting as a vane.

Does it make it at all times or do you have to be driving 75 mph(highway speed)? Does it matter if you drive into the wind or if the wind direction is behind you or side to side? I would have guessed a windshield molding but since that has been addressed next question would be do you have any accessory’s such as a light bar or roof rack that may have come out of adjustment?

Hi,
No accessories. And is higher if I’m driving into the wind, but still present if not. It starts at around 60mph and has occurred on open roads so not just interstate.

It does sound like that! It reminds me of the sound we used to make as a kid putting a blade of grass between my thumbs and blowing. 🙄🙄🙄
I will try those things. I have turned off the AC and the fan but not tried recirculating.
Thanks for the ideas. I’ll try anything before I burn it. 🤣🤣🤣 It is rough to handle as my daily work commute is 40 minutes both ways on the interstate.

Try this…add MT’s (mud tires) all doors and top off, go the speed limit on your commute, TA-DA, whistle is gone! 😁

Try swinging the wiper blade switch on and off and see if this affects the noise. Sounds goofy but it’ll change the wind drag on the windshield. No chance you have installed any replacement wiper blades recently?
I’m sure you have already checked this but the sealing surface between the top and windshield frame are clean and not distorted by any means?

No new wipers. I will try running them next time though. If that helps, what’s the long term fix?
I will check the frame area.
Thank you!

So I found a Tiktok with a Wrangler having the same noise under the exact same circumstances. Here was her diagnostic and the fix has resolved the issue. BUT I don’t have a boost 😩😩😩 What should I check? Any / all hoses for tightness?

Without hearing the noise in person hard to tell but the video surely sounds like an air pulsation on either a loose piece of trim or seal leaking into the cabin. Hootbro commented earlier about the recirc and fresh air door possibly being the cause. Definitely a good avenue to check.
As far as running the wipers your not looking for it to go away just change in tone or intensity. If it does it will help you isolate the general area of what seal this noise is being produced. The fact that it gets louder when you drive into the wind tells me it’s not a loose hose or engine component.

Check the space under the corner cowl where the window frame meets the body frame. There may be a gap there. I used duct foil tape to seal it, and no wind noise since. The tape will need to go under the rubber seal.
