2024 models and up come with wireless CarPlay. Check your owner’s manual.Do you any info …
Consider the Garmon Constant Power setup. I can almost guarantee that it’s easier to extend the cables to the OBD II port than behind the cigarette lighter.yeah > i love the wireless car play, though I wish they would put in some kind of wireless charging. I want to add one, but I want all the wires to be hidden. Not sure the best way to do this with that new hughe infotainment screen. Would it be easy to get down to the cigarette lighter looking plug wires?
that is a good option looking at it. I assume you have to unplug it when you want to use your OBD port?Consider the Garmon Constant Power setup. I can almost guarantee that it’s easier to extend the cables to the OBD II port than behind the cigarette lighter.
Yup, but it’s a minor inconvenience.that is a good option looking at it. I assume you have to unplug it when you want to use your OBD port?
Do you ever get called a smart ass ?? HehDo you english? heh.
I have a 20232024 models and up come with wireless CarPlay. Check your owner’s manual.
Then you will have to plug in to use CarPlay. Or use one of the many wireless CarPlay dongles that all seem to be poorly executed from my prior testing.I have a 2023
I can grab one of the GPS devices I've pulled from our Jeeps - they allow use of the OBD port while supplying 12volts of power to the GPS unit.that is a good option looking at it. I assume you have to unplug it when you want to use your OBD port?
I do. Nothing new.Do you ever get called a smart ass ?? Heh
nice do you have the name of what they are called etc? Id like to look em up and see if can find one maybe.I can grab one of the GPS devices I've pulled from our Jeeps - they allow use of the OBD port while supplying 12volts of power to the GPS unit.
I've got 3 of them now. Saved them because they may come in handy one of these days.
Cool. I too wanted wireless charging and als no window blockageFrom the moment I drove the truck of the lot I knew that I wanted to add wireless changing, but I wasn't sure how accomplish it. I basically had two requirements:
1) Minimal impact to windshield visibility
2) Cannot block the infotainment screen
Bulletpoint seemed the best way to go, but the ball mounts were a bit low and I was concerned that the hump on the dash tray would be an issue. After days of researching, I discovered this mount stand by RT-TCZ.

Additionally, I purchased Bulletpoint MagSafe wireless charger, mini mount arm, and an AMPS compatible ball mount.

I had previously picked up a USB-C to USB-C Right Angle cable from Amazon so that I can keep the media panel closed. I connected the right angle side to the Bulletpoint wireless charger so that I didn't have an unsightly connector extending from the charger.

To power my dash cam, I use a Garmin Constant Power OBD-II Port for power. The dual USB ports are useful in this scenario.

Lastly, I had to use an USB-C t0 USB 3.0 adapter to connect the USB cable to the Garmin USB port. This would not be necessary if I had an USB-C to USB 3.0 on hand.

Fishing the cable down from the top of the dash was easier than I thought. Remove the plastic trim under the steering wheel and you can easily get your hand up to grab the cable. Installation took less than 30 minutes.
In the next week or two, I will add powered dual USB ports to the dash in place of the single cable for versatility. Also, the MagSafe charger seems secure enough for daily driving, but more support would be needed for off roading. I'm not sure how I will mitigate that as of yet.
