I had an epic failure of an install day a couple of days ago. I set out to install a Badlands Apex winch into my Chinese knock off Mopar front bumper and had to abort because the supplied winch plate brackets did not line up with the holes on my Jeep and the winch plate itself looked bent. While my knock off bumper served the purpose in aesthetics, I can’t say I have a lot of confidence in it if I were in a recovery situation using a winch. So I have decided to do away with this Chinese garbage and get a more suitable bumper and Warn winch. Stay tuned………………….

Added a hardtop. Thanks @SRFRAT67 for delivering and helping install all the way from the Panhandle. Also added the Naturnest 270 Plus Awning. Was a super fun weekend.

Added an Openroad shower awning (pretty certain it’s the same exact one as the 23Zero Rask shower awning and about $100 cheaper). Also mounted an Apache 9800 to the crossbars over my roof. I was also going to mount a waterport weekender water reservoir but I discovered it was damaged during shipping so that will have to wait.

Some decked drawer system organization. Packed and ready to go explore northern Georgia. What I packed in the drawers will remain a constant making it easier to get up and go at a moment’s notice.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted any additional mods. Had a busy week of making changes to my current set up. Since I added the weight of an RSI Smartcap, RTT, decked drawer system, 270 awning, and shower awning over the summer and then purchased an adventure trailer in November, I felt it necessary to add some heavy duty springs to support the extra weight and for towing my ROG adventure trailer. I decided to add the AEV HD springs front and rear since I was already running the AEV 2.5” Dualsport suspension lift and was pleased with the quality and performance of the lift. I then added a new full size roof rack along with eight 5” Auxbeam LED V-Ultra light pods. So far I am quite pleased with these additions.

Finally got around to installing my Warn Evo 10-S winch. Next up some amber brush bar mounted fog lights.

Some additional changes to my Gladiator occurred over the last several weeks.
I got around to installing my amber fog lights on my front bumper brush guard. I then installed a Yeti front adjustable track bar. I was tired of the “crab walk feel” driving down the interstate so decided to center the front axle. Next up was swapping out my 35” Toyo AT3s for 37” Toyo RT Trails. I had initially intended to wait until I was ready for new tires but given I only had 15,000 miles on the AT3s and the fact that I don’t daily drive my JT, I decided there was no better time than the present to make that jump. I then completed a few other projects and mounted my ROAM adventure boxes on my roof rack along with my recovery boards, mounted my 5 lb. Propane tank on the back end of my passenger side RSI Smartcap full size bin, and then replaced my hood latches that the squirrels had been snacking on. I’m really pleased with how well everything is coming together. I think it’s funny that I told my wife 2 years ago that I wasn’t going to modify this Gladiator. It’s a good thing she loves me
