Does this mean that in 2024 there are no color matched grilles?
My 2024 Mojave X has a color matched grille. I kinda wish it was black, but it does look pretty good with the Granite Crystal. If the JTMX was a lighter color, I would have to go with a black grille.

Looks great.
Knowing you didn't get the Rubicon trim color.. I have a 23' Mojave... curious if the 24 Mojave has the "rubicon grey" trim color or standard grey?? Anyone?

Upon further examination,
it appears that the grille surround can be color matched
but the bars cannot.

It is the bars, in my opinion, that are the Jeep trademark,
the most easily identified and distinguishing feature.
For 2024, they have in essence been obfuscated.

Is nothing sacred?

Thanks but not seeing any 24's in person and or the rubi grey or the standard.. this image does not help explain which grey I'm looking at.

I'm sorry my attempt to help you, did not. Apparently a picture is not worth 1000 words. I did an internet search for you. I found the following on the Distinction Applied website. I bolded some text to make it even easier for you. If its not helpful, I'll try harder next time.

This product listing is for the Mopar 2024 refresh Grille that will fit your 2018 to current JL/JT Jeep. The Grille assembly does not include the rubber stripping, foam, and mounting push pins that are needed to mount to the vehicle - you will need to remove these from your existing Grille.

Please select the your prefered color in the drop down boxes. Your color choice will be applied to the outer Grille surround and panel. The grille trim will remain "Factory Medium Gray" (not Rubicon Gray), the mesh and chin will remain "Black Plastic".

I extrapolate from the above that the color is Factory Medium Gray, not Rubicon Gray.

I hope this helps.

I like the look but wouldn't sink more than a 100 bucks to do the grill alone.

I guess no one is going to answer the cooling question? Did it actually increase the airflow? Is the coolant temperature lower…?

I bought the whole grille kit from Allmoparparts (I think) for around $400ish. I did the Sting Gray paint myself. I like the look and suspected better airflow, too.

So your normal running temp will stay the same. For me, it came down to 'Will this help with overheating while going up a hill towing a trailer in the summer?' Here is the crazy part: I was bored one day and measured the total sq cm of open space for airflow and compared it to my '21 grille. The '21 grille technically had more. However, it was in areas that didn't allow or guide any additional airflow to the radiator anyway. It looks like the engineers were trying to allow more air to be directed at the radiator and tighten up the frame around it for better efficiency. It's not an F1 car, so I'm guessing I won't notice the difference if there is one.

Thank you for that, KGritz.
I feel much better now.

When overheating risk is greatest, in my opinion,
is when the vehicle is moving slowly or not at all.
Bumper to bumper traffic, for example, in Houston in August.
The fan and fan shroud will be the main source
or even the only source
of air movement and direction through the radiator.
Any air available up front will be drawn through
even if it is not directly lined up with the radiator vanes.

But I could be wrong. I often am.

By the way, if you do find yourself overheating
when stuck in traffic try turning off the AC,
turn up the cabin heat and fan all the way
and rev the engine to around 2000 rpm.
(The fan clutch will glide above 2400 rpm.)
The heater core will help cool the engine
in addition to the increased airflow through the radiator.
Brief discomfort is a low price to pay
compared to overheating and warping cylinder heads.

I had them color match the slots on mine. Cost a bit extra but this is what I thought Jeep would do if there were a 2024 High Altitude trim (also had to specify the gloss black around the headlights but that wasn't extra).

*I also notice a very very slight decrease in running temps (3.6L) but not enough to justify any of the cost.
