Now we're getting REALLY picky! I frankly see no difference and REALLY like the wheel style in my Overland. I don't want "fatter". I don't know what "perforated" would do other than catch dirt and oils from my hands.

What "thumb pads" are you talking about? The 2024 has the same wheel but with orange. The 2025 is the same, but without orange. And it's that way on every single 2025 I looked at. It's not like they "ran out" - it's on every single one on a dealer lot.

Granted if you're happy that's all that matters, but I bet you'd like the feel of the Mojave wheel better. Color the orange stitching with black sharpie.

I don't care for the look of that wheel.
I looked at dozens of 25s to determine that they had the full time auto transfer case and every one had the non-orange stitching.
That one looks lumpy above the spokes - like they made a mistake with the leather.
It's fat where I'd have my hands - sorry.

Feel, grip, control. It's also supposed to be on the vehicle. Since some 2025's have it and now they don't, they ran out.
And you are sure it's not a running change - as opposed to "ran out"?

2020 - 2024 and many 2025s have the Mojave wheel - it's a feature of the model. Only reason to change I can think of is supplier doesn't have any.

But yeah if you're happy you're happy. If you want the wheel though, the dealer should put it on no cost. The only other Jeep with the wheel is the Wrangler 392.

Feel, grip, control.
Control? Like you can't control it with a standard shape wheel. LOL. I've been controlling cars and trucks with smaller wheels than that, and my JT at over 90 with no problem.
That fat part is exactly where my hands would be much of the time, naw, I didn't buy it to get a unique steering wheel.
I'll have to look again, I didn't take pictures of the steering wheel in mine - but I'd happily trade wheels if mine has that orange fat one.

Plenty of guys want the Mojave wheel - trade it if you have and don't want it!

Up-trim models always have "weird" steering wheels for grip and control, Mojave is a "desert runner". Hell, look at the C8 ZR-1, there's a reason the wheel is like this:

I wouldn't put "control" in there - it's a design issue to separate it from the rest, make it look important.
There's people in road rally that use stock round steering wheels and there's no control issue.
That's purely a speculative thing.
Design, to set it apart, yeah, but control?
Many wheels for rallies, drifting and racing are round - like this - The Mojave wheel wasn't necessary, it was simply to set it apart and make it a part of that package.
Some will like it, some won't care, and some will be picky and insist it's Mojave so MUST be there even though functionally, it's no better or worse.

Happen to have a temp Tech Authority subscription and ran a couple of 2025 Mojave X VIN's and the part number database says either silver stitching or Mayan Gold stitching can come on it.

Checked on the Rubicon X and it can come with either the Red, Silver or Mayan Gold stitching steering wheel
