The wiring - man, Jeep - lose that crazy connector that is more complicated than necessary.
No kidding! Since I only do this once a year or so I actually have to watch the video.

Does anyone know if anyone makes a longer check strap (the metal strap) for these doors so that they can open wider (a feature my K9s appreciate) while retaining both the metal and fabric straps (Fabric strap extension ideas seem to be fairly abundant). In my previous vehicle, longer versions of these straps were available, but from my searching all I can find is folks just leaving them disconnected, an option that I do not prefer. TIA.
