2026 Willys Gladiator back up assist breaking..

I was just backing out of a parking spot at a gas station, there was a vehicle at the pump but I could easily making the back out, however when i got a few feet from the vehicle the gladiator put on full brakes and Immediatley stopped, i thought I backed into someone, but I did not. Does the Gladiator have backing brake assist I don't know about? Or what the heck is going on?

Check for "ParkSense Rear Park Assist" in Unconnect.

Ok, thanks I'll look into it. The wife had all (we thought) assist breaking off, and we didn't see a rear back up assist... I changed the title power your suggestion.. makes sense

Ok here the funny thing of the day. My willys does not have rear back up break assist, but a new driver may forget to turn off start/stop before backing out and it shut off... cuz I just did it again today. Tried to do the under the hood Ess disable that didn't work, I do not like SS

I don’t believe that is true. It literally just emulates the button.
