Hey folks I was just watching the crusher commercial again, and noticed something. When the camera switches to the inside of the cab, look at the dash = pretty sure that is Not a 1963 Gladiator dash or steering wheel either, looks more like early 70's? What's the deal with that?

Yeh. They crushed an icon. Didn't we do that to a statue over in oil land one time? How'd that work out? All our blood and fortune. Oh right, the commercial making folks weren't born yet. They have the whole culture piece askew, typical upscale mindset. The greatest generation gave it up for us, even if those who survived drove that exact truck they crunched. Their grandchildren think it's cool to crunch it? Ouch. And these fools are the ones setting price, probably didn't feel responsibility when whole towns dried up in 08. Only TEN YEARS AGO: Mom's unable to feed their chidlren & living in their jeeps with tents camping on public land out here. More ouch. Dont get me started. Just give me a JT and I'll be on my way! Don't mean to bother anyone. I apologize.

Hands down the best commercial I have ever seen

If you look closely at the entire commercial you can tell that most of it is computer animated. I argue this because if you look at the tire at about the 29 second mark, before the new gladiator starts to form, it is a mud tire and not the old tire and moon hubcap that is on the J10. Jeep knows how valuable their old vehicles are and I doubt they are dumb enough to destroy a working model for a marketing stunt.

Maybe not a working model, but jeep has said it was an inoperable gladiator they bought off a scrap site. Maybe they didn't actually crush it.

I'm still not convinced...Jeep says a lot of things. If you look at the tires of the one they sit in the crusher earlier in the video you can see that it clearly isn't the same vehicle that was actually crushed, if it was actually crushed at all. There are too many inconsistencies for me to believe that if anything was crushed at it was just a cheap mock up.
