It became necessary for me to flush mine @24k kms as my tranny oil analysis found not only extreme levels of copper and iron but also glycol. I personally don’t want to see those elevated numbers in there but I definitely don’t want glycol in the mix. I showed the report to my service manager and also to National Transmission who was already booked to do the flush and both parties commented glycol in the oil is troubling and concerning. The lab ALERTED to change the oil and filter. So I did.

You wouldn’t know anything if a lab doesn’t sample it.
The only way I can think of which would put glycol into the trans fluid would be the trans cooler line leaking into the trans. If that's the case, the problem is far beyond flushing the fluid.

The only way I can think of which would put glycol into the trans fluid would be the trans cooler line leaking into the trans. If that's the case, the problem is far beyond flushing the fluid.
That’s a good point and the other way is an admission made by a forum member in my “lifeguard, lifetime” thread over in the transmission section where-in this person was connected in the Chrysler’s transmission assembly plant said glycol is used to wash down the tranny housings. I have to go back over there and read exactly what was said but glycol is the wash solution in the assembly line. So we would all have the contamination I’m assuming.

but our 8hp75 is made in germany, so who know what they do? Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

My 21 JTR has the 850RE tranny, assembled in the states.
My bad, i was under the impression you had a EcoD, (not sure why,.. but what ever) In the case of the dodge 850RE (8hp75 clone) I wouldn't trust mopar built stuff either and would definitely keep a close watch on stuff..... Carry on ;)
